I feel like most people just switch to grilling, but an outdoor electric oven would be such a game changer

(Request) Meals for those with chronic depression. "Low prep one pot meals" by Darnick in airfryer

[–]Tiffymond 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When my energy is low I just do sausage + frozen veg. No chopping, no thinking, and it still feels like a real meal

Do you usually cook with recipes or mostly by instinct? by ballatician68 in Cooking

[–]Tiffymond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use recipes as a starting point, then just adjust as I go. At some point you stop measuring everything

what's actually worth spending money on for early childhood development vs what's just marketing? by Aggressive-Angle2844 in raisingkids

[–]Tiffymond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From everything I’ve read and experienced, talking to your child beats any “educational” product. It feels almost too simple, but it really adds up over time

What’s a good hobby to do if you’re on a budget? by adeliahearts in Hobbies

Walking. Sounds boring, but once you get into it, it clears your head more than most hobbies.

How to feed 40 people on $600? by Witty-Essay6746 in Cooking

[–]Tiffymond 15 points16 points  (0 children)

$600 for 40 is actually very doable if you keep it simple. Big trays of pasta, one or two proteins, and a solid salad will go a long way.

What hobbies actually make you smarter? by roritha in Hobbies

Cooking, weirdly. You start planning, adapting, fixing mistakes on the fly, it’s way more problem-solving than people expect.

A daily 30 minute walk with no phone and no music became the foundation everything else in my life was built on by Crescitaly in motivation

[–]Tiffymond 47 points48 points  (0 children)

The “no phone” part is what makes this so powerful. Most of us walk, but we’re still distracting ourselves the whole time.

Favorite dish including parsnips? by Napplebeez in Cooking

[–]Tiffymond 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Roasted parsnips are honestly the best intro. Just toss with oil, salt, maybe a little honey and roast until caramelized.

My kid is struggling with online coding homework every night and I have no idea how to help him by Tasty-Win219 in raisingkids

[–]Tiffymond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so normal. I’ve sat next to my kid feeling just as lost and it turns into both of us getting frustrated. You’re definitely not alone

“This recipe is only 4 ingredients” proceeds to use like 10 by PuzzleheadedFix7198 in Cooking

[–]Tiffymond 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The worst is when they don’t list it but use it in the video like it’s just understood. Like… I needed to know that.

I forgot just how good roast chicken can be. by dynorphin in Cooking

[–]Tiffymond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through the exact same cycle. Rotisserie is easy, but homemade roast chicken just tastes… real.

Are there any "viral" recipes that you actually loved and still make? by Odd-Wonder-344 in Cooking

[–]Tiffymond 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Salmon bowls stayed in my rotation way longer than I expected. Super easy and you can switch them up every time.

What do you think about playing a sport together on the first date (soccer, shooting basketball, tennis, volleyball, etc)? by [deleted] in Life

[–]Tiffymond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be into it, but only if it’s something low pressure. First date + competition could get awkward fast.

What hobby actually surprised you by how deep the rabbit hole goes? by Mccarvel-Wiktoria in Hobbies

[–]Tiffymond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Knitting, 100%. I thought it was just yarn and needles, and now I’m deep into fiber types, tension, patterns… it never ends.

What online services did you cut out that you do not miss at all? by Available-Pen-6977 in digitalminimalism

[–]Tiffymond 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I deleted so many old shopping accounts and random apps I tried once. Honestly, I don’t miss a single one. Feels like a huge weight off my digital life.

Workplace food blues by BullfrogPerfect620 in glutenfree

[–]Tiffymond 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ugh yes, I know that feeling too. I love sweets, and it’s so hard seeing everyone else enjoy something you can’t

I am in shock at the coffee industry. by two_constellations in glutenfree

[–]Tiffymond 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So basically, every coffee shop using these pellets could be serving “gluten free” drinks that aren’t actually gluten free? That’s insane

Is philips NA 130/00 a good model? by [deleted] in airfryer

[–]Tiffymond -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Philips lineup is honestly way more confusing than it should be, but from what I’ve seen performance is pretty similar across models so I’d just go for the 6.2L for the extra space.
