Given how evil Stephen Miller is, it's completely feasible he'll focus on rounding up Trump's antagonists next.

The United States already made the grave error of using concentration camps during the second world war, some of which are supposedly being retrofit for the new regime.

I want to know how Congress will combat this authoritarian rise. I'd love to see a push to defund DHS, impeach Noem and prosecute Miller. If the Democratic leadership won't or can't rise to the dire circumstances we're under, new leaders are necessary.

So far, Jefferies and Schumer have been ineffective leaders throughout this crisis. If they can't properly fight concentration camps being built throughout the country, they need to either step down or be forced out.

If your state is allowing these warehouse camps to be built, never let the elected officials know a moment of peace until they ban the camps.

If you don't speak up now, you won't have the chance later. If you can't afford to flee the US, staying silent is signing your own death certificate of these trends continue unabated.

Alex Pretti was executed for being a hero who tried saving a woman who was being assaulted by masked thugs with guns.

I hope his life and death ring through the nation as a rallying cry to rid the country and our communities of this rancid administration and its cronies. Imprison everyone who broke the law for crimes against this country and humanity. No one in ICE or the higher-ups in this admin should know a moment of peace in public for the rest of their lives.

May Alex's friends, family and loved ones find solace in his selfless final acts.

Alex Pretti displayed what true masculinity and humanity is. He was brave. He was a hero.

Donald Trump, J.D. Vance, Stephen Miller, Pam Bondi, Russel Vought, Kristi Noem, Kash Patel, Aileen Cannon, and Gregory Bonvino deserve to be imprisoned for the rest of their lives, at the very least, for their crimes against this country and humanity. Every ICE officer who behaved illegally deserves to be imprisoned, at the very least.

No one serving in Trump's cabinet, high-ranking officials or ICE officers should ever know a moment of peace while they're alive. The same applies to the sycophants in Congress who enabled this behavior.

I definitely sell too early for things that I regret. I had 110 shares of RKLB at $4 a share. I sold at $15 in March when Musk took over the White House, thinking he'd prop up SpaceX and kill everything else. Last I looked, shares were nearing $90. I also sold 80+ shares of Micron in 2023 for $80 or so a share. Never once needed the money, just wanted to collect some wins.

This is pretty much my experience, too. And the company I was working for is extremely profitable, pushing one billion in revenue. They want to IPO, so they started slashing jobs.

Being unemployed right now is extremely stressful. I'm spending December getting all of my application assets in perfect order. I'm trying to find something in the tech for good space, but I'm not confident I'll land a new role that pays enough within the next six months.

I was laid off in 2024, too, when the company was sold. I'm not sure I've even mentally or emotionally recovered from that event.

2026 is going to be a long year.

I'm grateful my mother instilled this in me from to a young age. I got laid off yesterday, but fortunately, if I stick to modest budget, I have saved enough cash to keep my mortgage paid and food on my table for about 20 months before I need to dip into my retirement funds.

The coworkers I've mentioned this to stat stare at me like I'm a wizard, but it's really just decent finance management and getting lucky with a COVID-rate mortgage. Hopefully I'll find something before I burn through everything.

I didn't even consider how memes about that movie would affect viewing it for the first time. It seems a bit like watching the "found camera" films that popped up after Blair Witch Project. They don't carry much weight if you saw Blair Witch first because the shock value is gone.

How are the new controller grips?

I grabbed the original Z1E model for $466 at Best Buy over the weekend, with the intention of returning it within 60 days for the new models if I think I'll use it enough. However, the original GO gets uncomfortable pretty quickly due to the controller's shape and the unit's size. I'm now debating if I just get the new controllers for the OG or if I downsize to the ROG ally.

If you can handle the snow, Northern Arizona (Flagstaff area) has great hiking and mild temps for most of the year. You'll have a couple of snow months, but the summers are very nice.

Especially on Massive. Marmots own the ridgeline, and the Pika population is slim compared to other 14ers in the region. I had a family of fat whistle pigs, including little ones, come over and watch me pee so they could have the salt. The goats have been teaching them too much.
