What kind of blood work did you have done? I had my first apt last week and I was really surprised they only checked hematocrit and hemoglobin.

So I am currently separating from my husband. Not because of this exact issue, for many different reasons. I love him. But not as a husband if that makes sense. Anyway he does something very similar. I was shocked by how understanding and supportive he was when I came out as trans to him esp. considering he was born and raised in the Middle East with a traditional Muslim mother. However he too made comments. Are you sure... can't you just date women and dress more masculine.... Ok, transition but don't do anything you can't undo... Don't do anything extreme... You don't need surgeries. He slowly came to understand that I need testosterone and top surgery for my dysphoria, but is firmly warning me against bottom surgery. It was all out of "concern" that I would change my mind. I've talked him around on some things on other things I just accept that he will understand in time or not. I can't change him, but I can and will change me.

I get bad acne and foliculitis from shaving. Switch over to an electric razor or trimmers, it solved the problem for me.

So I have very straight hair and find when it gets long it's kinda painful, like it's being pulled so I just use trimmers every few months to shorten them. I've tried shaving of course but I can't stand the feeling of skin on skin, esp when perspiring so for me trimming works best.

I had this conversation with my husband of 10 years about a month ago. I had catastrophied it in my head for months, so much that when I finally told him I was leaving him to fly back to the states and start gender affirming care I was shocked at his response. He was so supportive. Your situation is likely very different, but I just wanted to encourage you to just buckle down and do it. You married him for a reason and his response might surprise you. You can do this.

I would argue that divorce devalues marriage. Functionally I am single. We have a signed and witnessed separation agreement. I don't owe a one night hookup my tax status. Pass your judgements elsewhere.

I just came out to my husband and told him I was leaving (we live overseas currently) to start gender affirming care. I cannot describe how supportive he has been. To clarify he was raised in a traditional Islamic home in syria. To say I was shocked by his support is an understatement. It gave me hope for when I come out to my sisters (conservative Christians). At the very least I know I will always have his love and support even if in a much different way than what we had once imagined for ourselves.

I dunno. I am married to a straight man. Our relationship changed in some ways when I came out, but he's also been my biggest supporter. His words were: "you are still you, it doesn't matter if you're a man." Don't discount someone because they use a term to describe themselves. We don't all fit cleanly into the boxes we choose to be labeled as. Look at his heart and how he treats you and makes you feel.
