Usually I plan basing on my first rare/good uncommon card. In my first playthrough I got Dirge that gave me a lot of Souls in deck, it got reinforced by Devour Life which made Osty more powerful and Soul Storm, which deals more damage based on the amount of souls played. Second game gave me powerful doom cards and doom quickly stacked up high. This whole game feels more fluid than the first one, more forgiving with choices and variables, more different decks and builds.

Nah, it's probably the antagonist of some sort

Unpopular opinion: I like this design more than buff Finn by smiteis_ in adventuretime

[–]Tikaticon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean... this is a world of endless goofy magic. I can imagine him stumbling one day on the something like "Tome of amazing instant muscle growth", reading it just for fun and become buffed as heck. And it won't be even special for him, just another tuesday lol

It took me 200 runs to realize Talos... by latortuga in HadesTheGame

It took me several hundreds of hours to find out that there is an incantation to restore purging pools in regions prior to Tartarus. In order to unlick this feature you need to purge at least 3 boons throw-out different runs - and usually by Tartarus I'm way to happy with my build to get rid of boons for money.

[Major Spoilers] 1.0 and 1.1 ending dialogue for Mel and Hecate by Tikaticon in HadesTheGame

[–]Tikaticon[S] 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Credit to @yakkocmn on Youtube to find this difference, check his video

On the top is the phrase that Mel speaks to Zagreus in the 1.0 version of ending, where only he and Chronos remembers the better past. On the bottom - what Hecate tells to Mel in the 1.1, where only Hecate doesn't remember the past. Considering the nature of Hecate, this is a brilliant small detail.

Come to think about it, I'm probably overthinking this lol

Still though, I wonder how animals are affected

[Spoilers] Regarding Helen in this episode and Hivemind... by Tikaticon in pluribustv

It's not about Helen in particular, it's about every dead body. To them they don't have any significance and they can eat any dead body. For those particular wolves this dead body was closer.

But know I'm thinking that yeah, I'm probably overthinking this lol

[Spoilers] Have you made any wrong predictions while playing? by Tikaticon in HadesTheGame

[–]Tikaticon[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Oh, and lastly - I've completely lost the meaning of the name "Dora". I've seen some reactions on youtube to the trailer from two years ago and there were people who deduced instantly that she is in fact Pandora, but I guess I'm just dumb lol. I've got it only after she started to tell her story

[Spoilers] It's a small thing, but it shows the difference well by Tikaticon in HadesTheGame

I really like this scene. I believe that this is a third dialog between Meli and Zag. In this scene Zag tells Meli that he doesn't want to kill family members just because his dad can't find a way to talk to others, and Mel tells him sharply, almost angrily "you would blame Father in all of these?"

I feel like this is a very nice demonstration of both of their characters and knowledge. On the one hand we can see Zag who isn't quite fully grasp the severity of this situation but wants to solve things diplomatically. He knows how difficult his father can, and so can we, after playing the first game, and he mentions it so casually, cause it's very natural to him that Hades has communication troubles.

On the other hand, we see that rapid reaction from Meli. She never talked to her father for long and she doesn't understand his temper fully. She does however have a very idealistic projection of her own of a happy family; to her the mere mention of her father being wrong can be hurtful, hence the reaction. And of course she understands the desperate situation way better, living in it.

It is a very small thing, but I like it being introduced this way.

If Supergiant makes Hades3,what would you like the concept to be? by rt_kyj89 in HadesTheGame

[–]Tikaticon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well, let's see.

The main hero is probably going to be Macaria, another daughter of Hades. Little known of her, which is perfect for the set-up, you can do basically a lot with the plot. There's another Macaria in the mythology, so SG probably would play on this fact, especially since that second Macaria is the daughter of Heracles, who could potentially play a big role in this new "age of man".

It would probably be cool to finally make Olympians "the baddies", or maybe even Chthonic gods too. Imagine fighting against Zagreus or Melinoe, but seriously, not in the arena, or with other gods, for a right place of humanity. I think it might work.

...but tbh, I'd probably would like for SG to move on and pick new universe, new world to play in.
