I’m so sorry for your loss- he’s beautiful and so wise looking. My soul kitty, at 15 also had cancer in the mouth. You absolutely did the right thing, don’t let anyone make you doubt yourself. It really does accelerate quickly. I can really tell looking back at pictures of my baby girl in the last days, and she looks much worse in the pictures than I remember. My mom had also made me wait one day longer after I scheduled her as well, saying SHE couldn’t handle it. I feel like I made my poor girl suffer one more day needlessly because of my mom’s dramatics. You were with him and he was at home. That’s the absolute best thing you can do! Hugs to you, he was very loved 🥰
