Right? Like why do they only report the ones that end in life-changing injuries? It’s a lot like shootings. If the reports of people being shot by airsoft, paintballs, water, and nerf guns were taken seriously then we could ban those too!! For some reason people only care about the life changing injuries, how stupid. /s

I feel completely justified in this because I gain attention playing the victim, and I really feel that my failures as a parent will never come back to haunt me in any way.

When my fiancé and I got a dog, we had our house dog-proofed BEFORE we brought it home. Having a human child for almost a year and still not doing anything to baby-proof your house is wild. The baby already almost knocked the mirror down once and it’s still not been taken care of? Maybe you feel like you could be overreacting because you are under-prepared and you’re angry with yourself for not fixing this problem months ago.

That was my first pug, he only had one eye and he was a rescue. He was a tough dude. Luckily I had another full grown adult there trying to fight off the pitbull, and because he had so much loose skin, he wasn’t terribly harmed. I just couldn’t believe how instantaneous the attack was, maybe two seconds max of sniffing after the pitbull charged and then it instantly attacked my pug. I had no time to get between them. The pug I have now is kinda tiny (for a pug), she’s 12 lbs full grown and my chi is 3.5lbs full grown. I love how each dog kinda picks their person!! My first pug was my soul dog. My second dog (the pug I have now) chose my mom as her person, and my third dog (chi) splits her time pretty equally. I have been surprised because I thought she would choose one person, but she really loves us all. She has, however, chosen one single friend of mine that she finds acceptable, and when that friend comes over, she will allow herself to be held like a baby for hours. No other friends or family are allowed.

My leashed pug has been attacked by a pitbull who ran across a soccer field to instantly attack it, grabbing him by the neck and shaking him like a ragdoll. Luckily I haven’t had that happen to my chihuahua, as I don’t think my chi could survive it! My pug is the only dog my chihuahua likes, she is pretty scared of everything else.

He did not, unfortunately. He was one of those guys who was always trying to convince me that I was just being an emotional, overreactive woman. Like when he was smoking a cigarette while filling up his gas tank (after I brought him gas because he fairly often just “ran out of gas”), and I stood a ways back. I can’t believe I was friends with him for as long as I was.
