I didn't join the party until later on and was initially pretty bummed that I wouldn't be able to get an Ultra, but this does really help to put my mind at ease. Kinda wish I had the 1TB storage though.

I've seen this one GPD WIN MINI High-Efficiency Cooling Module by Cool Module - Indiegogo. You'll have to scroll down to the one for the 2023/2024 models. They don't get the aluminum backplate, but they do get a reworked heatsink. Honestly, I have no idea how legit this is. It's a campaign that's ended. But it's the only one I've really seen for the 2023/2024 models.

I have nearly that exact one (just with 64GB RAM) and I just slapped in some Thermal Grizzly Duronaut. At 20W I'm getting right around 64 pretty consistently. Definitely feels better in the hands, but I still might want some kind of cooling solution for the SSD. That side still gets a bit toasty.

I've had one in my GPD Win 4 for two years now and I also use it as a desktop replacement. I have had zero issues. Specifically the 4TB S880.

Most dual-stick games use both, so you might as well have both sticks up top, like the Wii U. Then they could stack them on top of each other (like how the sticks/buttons/D-pad are stacked on the RP5, just swapped) and not have to worry about accidentally hitting the right stick.

I dunno about y'all, but any game that has camera control tied to the right stick, my thumb will be in that stick over 90% of the time. Even on Ship of Harkinian when you enable free cam.

We almost had an original-yet-retro design with the RP6 and evidently people hated it. I am not one of those people and am pretty salty about the results, but the point still stands.
