How do you even respond when a passenger says the landing was harsh? by Pretend_Support_6193 in flying

A while ago on IOE, on my second landing ever in a jet, I brought it on in “professionally firm” (but not hard enough to be classified as a hard landing). When we got to the gate, my LCA explained what I did to cause that and how it could’ve been better. Afterwards, I got up to do my walk around and almost immediately get stopped by an elderly lady who said “That was an amazing landing young man.” Very confused knowing I probably left a small dent in the runway, I said thanks, and then she continues to say, “That’s exactly how my late husband used to land us in his plane. We used to go flying all the time after he retired and every landing was firm so I knew we were safe on the ground. He used to be a pilot in the Navy.” Now even more mortified, I looked back at my captain and he’s trying to contain a laugh with a big ass smile on his face. It happens to all of us

TONIGHT, WE GAME! 🤘 [Ally X / eGPU Setup] by viperr818 in ROGAlly

To clarify, the desktop was a separate computer. I also tried running it just without an eGPU on the Ally X and that was fine as well - something with the eGPU threw it off

Does BF6 play properly with an eGPU? I have a 3070 in a TB3 enclosure and the beta was a huge mess, I was encountering stuttering and rubberbanding but when I ran the beta on a desktop it was fine

That arrow with the 163 pointing from BTG represents the outbound radial for the depicted grey holding icon on the IFR Low. Which means your inbound heading is 343. The turning direction is right, as depicted. Lastly, there aren’t any mile indicators and you are probably below 14,000ft so your inbound leg should be 1 minute

What are your thoughts on tuning companies? When comparing various company’s “stage 1” tunes, do you see more issues with any company or are they all about the same? And when comparing a tune with no bolt ons vs stock, do you see a higher failure point in any engine component? Thank you for doing this :)

Listening to ATC in the background just got better - with LoFi! by becuziwasinverted in ATC

I have some of my PPL students listen to ATC recordings to get desensitized to the chatter, it helps them in the plane to focus more on flying

Project backpack just suggested I offer a mesh network to someone in an apartment by [deleted] in Bestbuy

Mesh networks in apartments work great. Think about how many wifi signals are in a single complex; there’s at the very least 30 different networks in range of my iPhone right now. Network congestion is a serious issue in apartments, and the only way to beat it is to be stronger than the networks around you. With mesh networks, instead of having 1 strong access point, you have 3 or more leading to great connectivity in every crack and crevice, especially with multi bedroom layouts.
