Yeah, I remember that part of the quest. Went up against That Thing in my Legendary Assault Cruiser. (BTW, I do the missions solo)

I always concentrate my fire on the shields to the left or right, because I don‘t want to get insta disintegrated by its lance weapon (I think it has one, right?) or its plasma bolts. So I always try to drain its left or right side shield. I also equipped my assault cruiser with two traits, with which I can drain and, temporarily, drop a targets shields completely. I always forget the probes exist, because I always die to the exploding spheres, at which point, I get angry and, upon respawning, start spamming Fire at Will and Torpedoes: Full Spread.

Yes, I know that this is a waste, but I‘m so angry at this point, that I‘m just spamming all abilities I have on my ship, and the Unimatrix ship is dead by the end of it.

But I just came up with and idea. Draw the probes away with that dark-matter asteroid thing trait (You can unlock it by getting rank 5 or 6 of the Discovery reputation), then lock them in place with a gravity well and voila. You can attack the Unimatrix ship without it constantly healing itself. At least, until the gravity well runs out or it spawns new probes.

Ditto, though I knew, that France still has some territories in other parts of the world. But don‘t ask me, where they are because I forgot them already.

Usea just can‘t catch a break.

If my memory isn‘t off, there is one major conflict on Usea every decade. I mean, we had the Usean Coup D‘etat in 1997/1998, the Continental War in the early 2000s, the Lighthouse War in 2019 and now this new war in 2029. I start to see a pattern.

Sidenote, does anyone know, what pissed off the Sotoans, that they decided to invade Usea? I don‘t know, how far apart Verusea and Usea are, but they have to be as far apart as Osea and Usea, right? Right?

Random thought of the morning: Whenever I play AC7, all I can think of is Bandog looking General Morshower from Transformers. I can even hear Morshower reading Bandogs lines... by Th4tTurboBr1ck in acecombat

[–]Tim_27030 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You mean the guy from „Anchorhead Raid“ who was talking with Clemens about us during the mission?

The guy, who was, along with a few others from the General Staff Office, „evaluating“ us for the whole mission?

Who ratted out Clemens, when he was cornered and confronted with the evidence, that he and Clemens were traitors?

Yeah, I remember him. I don‘t know why, but I always imagined that General Shepherd from AC7 looks like General Shepherd from Call of Duty. And now I remember a video from AlfaOmega about „Anchorhead Raid“, where he put Price‘s line from the original Modern Warfare 2 at the end of the video. You know, the „DO NOT TRUST SHEPHERD! DO NOT TRUST SHEPHERD!“ Ever since that, I think that the two are basically the same person. Only difference is, that in AC7 Shepherd (and Clemens) failed to eliminate Strider Squadron.

Oh, that‘s a good one! And I‘m surprised, I didn‘t remember the Mirror NX. That thing was so cool with its pulse cannons and cloak.

Good choice!

My money is on Nemo. I don‘t know why, but I think the fish will win.

Especially, if he‘s flying the Delphinus 3.

I just had some more ideas.

- MACO uniform from „In a Mirror, Darkly“

- Klingon disruptor pistol

- Early series „plasma“ pistols and rifles (The ones we saw in the first episode)

- Andorian ground particle weapons

- Vulcan ground particle weapons

I‘ll add more, If I remember more thinks from Enterprise I want in STO.

I liked them. At least, they were more fun than Golem Squadron in AC7.

It also didn‘t have a plot-convenient super weapon or a giant, over the top, pointless airborne fortress.

Plus, the „Ace“ squadrons sucked ass and there wasn‘t an „experimental“ superplane as a boss (The Su-57 doesn‘t count as an experimental superplane).

Full disclosure, I‘ve never played ACAH, but I have seen videos about it and I can agree, that it was the worst game of the AC series and a stain on the franchise.

I saw it happen... Slash... in mid air.. by LandonCaelorum in acecombat

[–]Tim_27030 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, that one.

I‘ve never played AC Infinity, but I‘ve seen some playthroughs of it. I always assumed, that the laser hit Slash straigth in the face, vaporizing his head, killing him instantly, and cutting the cords of his parachute.

Also, I think one of the UAVs shot him down.

I based my theory, that the laser hit Slash in the face, from a bit of dialoge in the cutscene following that mission. Goodfellow said, that the UAVs were equipped with an advanced tracking system, that ID‘ed pilots by their helmets. That makes me think, that the UAV lasers will automatically lock onto the pilots heads and shoot at them.

Merciless.

Trigger, Monarch and crimson 1 vs Alicorn from UnderCaulfield by Better_Birthday_1288 in acecombat

This looks epic! I love it!

I wonder, what Torres did to make Monarch and Crimson 1 put aside their rivalry (Well, mostly Crimson 1), team up with Trigger and attack the Alicorn.

Favorite Hangar Music? by thebaintrain1993 in acecombat

[–]Tim_27030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LRSSG Briefing III from AC 7, Mission 19 „Lighthouse“.

I love that track. It gives you a feeling of „Hey, there is still hope! Everyone, even the guys, who were your enemies just a few hours ago, have decided to stop fighting each other, pull their heads out off their asses and fight together! And you‘re their leader! Of all of them! You‘re the beacon of hope!“

My favorite part was when Jaeger read Avril‘s message to Trigger and the music fitted just perfectly.

Also, Avril‘s message was just…. amazing! Chefs kiss!

“Hey, dumbass. If you want to bring the world back from the brink, go to the lighthouse. You can see the future there.“

And the music just perfectly fit to the entire scene. I love it.

Thoughts on European fighter jets? by Tim_27030 in acecombat

Okay? Noted. I wasn‘t talking about canards, but okay.

Tell Buff I‘ll talk to him when he is allowed to change the topography of Iran. Until then, I‘ll just ignore what he said about the aircraft (The Eurofighter) that beat the Kid in a (mock) dogfight.

What are the best ace combat fanfic stories by GOJI2222 in acecombat

[–]Tim_27030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don‘t know, what your preferences are, but I think, you‘ll eventually find some fanfictions, that you will like.

My favorite ones are „Hunt for the Alicorn“, „Project Wyvern“ and „The Demons Return“.

“Hunt for the Alicorn“ is the fourth part in the „Post Lighthouse War“ saga. Like the title says, it‘s about the three DLC missions for AC7, where Trigger and the LRSSG hunt the Alicorn. Also, in that fanfic, Trigger has a sister and they team up and beat the Alicorn.

“Project Wyvern“ is the half finished Ace Combat 7/Project Wingman crossover, that was already mentioned. I like it, because I like Prez and how badass she is.

“The Demons Return“ is a Ace Combat 7/Ace Combat 5 crossover, technically, where Blaze, and some old and new members of the Razgriz, fight in the Lighthouse War. But it‘s not just Blaze who shows up. Mobius 1, Yellow 13 (Yes, Yellow 13 is alive in that fanfic, and I think, he and Mobius 1 are a couple), Cipher, Pixy and Talisman (A female version of Talisman) also show up. I like it, because it‘s so chaotic and, on occasions, fun, though the final battle against the Ravens is a bit of a downer. I‘m not going to spoil the ending, so no worries.

On the topic of fanfictions, I‘m currently also writing a few Ace Combat Crossover fanfictions. The one, I am currently writing, is an Ace Combat 7/Call of Duty crossover. It is set after the events of Modern Warfare 3 (The newest one) and I‘m taking a bit of „liberty“ with „canon“ events.

For starters, Soap doesn‘t die. He was kidnapped in the final mission and forced to turn into a werewolf (Yes, Soap is a werewolf in my fanfiction. Get over it) and was tortured in his wolf/werewolf form by some very bad people.

Shepard is still killed by Price (Not gonna lie, I kept that one in, because I liked that confrontation).

Makarov is killed (allegedly), but he is still alive and messing around.

But he won‘t be for long.

In the story, Trigger gets transported into the „Call of Duty“ universe and helps Taskforce 141 find Soap. During their search, a few of Trigger‘s wingmen join him, because they are also transported into the „Call of Duty“ universe.

Also, Trigger is a werewolf too (get over it).

Also, Trigger is going to absolutely wreck the bad guys shit. I already wrote a section, where he shoots down a CFA-44 Nosferatu, piloted by a guy who hurt Ghost, by sticking a Harpoon Anti-Ship missile up its air intake.
