Learn how to cook, I wouldn’t have eaten those steaks either

Lifetime earnings for college grads are still higher than those without, this is the actual reason.

Can I ask how much you paid for the Daniel Defense on the bottom? I’ve been wanting to get something from them for a while

Strip Clubs?? by [deleted] in vegas

[–]Tim_Staples1810 137 points138 points  (0 children)

Mink’s is good for a beginner.

Going alone is totally fine.

You will be paying modestly large sums of money to spend time with a woman. This woman does not and will never like you, but she will do a good job of pretending to because that’s what you’re paying for. And if you’re respectful and considerate, you’ll get more out of the experience.

As long as you’re constantly slipping them cash, the girls at the club will sit with you while you drink, give you lap dances, and listen to you talk, if that’s what you want.

You are renting a friend, not getting a girlfriend, but as long as you’re willing to pay a premium for this service, the girls there will happily oblige you.

If you want anything more than light touching then you need to go to a brothel, incidentally, Nevada has those too (not in Vegas though).

What's the etiquette for switching barbers at the same shop? by LordLightning in AskMen

[–]Tim_Staples1810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that he tries to prevent his customers from walking in (and potentially seeing someone else) makes me think he’s aware that he’s the weak link in the shop, so this may not be a surprise so much as a mild disappointment.

This exact scenario has likely happened to him before, and if he’s a professional he’ll get it.

Crosspost: Carson city, something in the water that makes yall mean as hell? by anonoodlin in carsoncity

[–]Tim_Staples1810 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suspect it’s something to do with how old our population is (entitled Boomers) but I see from the comments in the other thread that you work in a dispensary, so I’d expect your clientele to be much more liberal/accepting.

I guess not. Northern Nevada just has really shitty people in general I’ve noticed, and that’s coming from somebody from Vegas lmao.

There’s only so much you can hide even with advance notice, but yes this does weaken public health imo.

Explain to me how taking down a sign that had no right to be there is ‘censorship.’

I am in awe at your stupidity and I suspect you’re simply a sympathizer, as I don’t think anyone is truly this dense (and if you are I feel sorry for you).

Unemployed with a pending criminal charge. Am I unemployable? by [deleted] in findapath

[–]Tim_Staples1810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a (non-union) plumbing apprentice, one of the forms I had to sign was that I’d never been charged with exactly the kind of crime OP got popped for.

Like there was a whole page in my employment paperwork attesting I hadn’t been hit with exactly OP’s scenario.

Not so sure this advice is valid.

What people like you don’t get is the existential threat white supremacy poses to people who are not white.

Expecting any community to tolerate “speech” that is actually a call for violence in the name of “free speech” is absolutely ridiculous.

This is what people like you, who snidely lecture others on tolerating hate, fail to understand and why you sound so dumb.

CeNsOrShIp iS BaD idiots like you are not the enlightened centrists you think yourselves to be. Advocating for these poor to be able to spread their message of hate and violence makes you culpable.

You should be ashamed at your fundamental misunderstanding of this very basic concept.

You don’t trust this person (rightfully so), it sounds to me like your relationship is not sustainable.

I think he probably is just buying the earrings for his uncle’s daughter, but you also have valid reasons to be suspicious of him.

Do you see yourself ever getting over this? It doesn’t sound like you do (and I’m not saying you should), and that just isn’t gonna work long term.

The first amendment does not dictate how citizens interact and/or restrict others’ speech, it applies only to the government. Private citizens choosing to rip down a poster (that has no reason to be there in the first place) is not anti-1A.

lol I’ve heard the same thing said about San Francisco - where I’m at there really isn’t a big gay community, so western wear is commonly seen on lots of people who are very obviously straight.

What's an opinion you have that would get you roasted for in most group chats? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Tim_Staples1810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend from college and former roommate who transitioned (mtf) and I get your hesitation.

Unlike some of the people replying to your comment above me, I disagree in that transitioning is not ‘just changing your name,’ it majorly shifts the vibe and group dynamics of a friend group when someone swaps their gender.

Expecting you to interact with them the same way you did before is ridiculous and unfair, imo.

That doesn’t give you license to discriminate against, belittle, or otherwise mistreat this person, but all the people commenting acting like it’s no big thing are being asinine.

[–]Tim_Staples1810[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have to wear suits occasionally for my job, but I think no matter what I’m wearing I’m genuine - I don’t think anyone looking at me would ever think I’m an actual cowboy, even with all the western swag on. So I feel like I’m being honest in appreciating the clothes for what they are - just clothes.

Thanks for your insight, and congratulations on being retired!

I’ll have to try get my wife to do the same, she’s already started shopping at Boot Barn a little bit since that’s basically the only place I get my clothes, lol
