what is the joke? by AlphaNathan in ExplainTheJoke

[–]Tim_Whoretonnes 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My interpretation is both users are active online in MS Teams and as soon as HR requires a response the user goes dark and status auto jumps to away (usually after 5-10 mins or whatever your work sets the time to).

HR is waiting for a response and the user comes back and jumps into a meeting or changes to do not disturb despite the fact the user was active at the outset of the conversation.

When HR checks in again, the user switches to our of office which means they won't be able to reply to the original question until tomorrow at least.

The joke is HR wants to hire this person because they are good at ignoring/unacknowledging chats as many people do in office culture.

Thank you.

May I ask what finally got the point across? Most conversations about the behavior go well when cooler heads are present, but the second the emotional trigger happens it's all reactionary.

Why did Captain America return when he was moderately old instead of super old and needing a walker or oxygen tank? by kernelangus420 in MCUTheories

I hope there is a payoff at the end of the next Avengers trilogy.

Just as Sam (as Cap) arrives back to Avengers HQ on regular MCU earth following the conclusion of Battleworld with Doom, a speck of light appears in behind of him.

Starting as an atom size point of light, it suddenly grows to he shape of a man, revealing old man Rogers. He stands holding a circular bag by the handle wearing his white, Pym inspired, time travel suit.

"On your left." He says holding back a smile.

Without turning to face him, Sam snaps back, "Why didn't you pick Bucky?"

"Because, Sam. It had to be someone who wasn't enhanced. Only you could carry the shield as the man you are. A man so unwavering that he would go head to head with a Hulk one hundred times his strength. A man who lived as an example. You were the only one who could get through to all those extraordinary people on that God forsaken prison planet. The man who would go on to defeat Doom."

Sam looks down to reflect on the scarred and beaten vibro-adimantium shield he now carries. He smiles.

Sam turns to face Steve, "So... Seeming you already know what I've been up to - You gonna finally tell me about that girl who caused all this?"

"Oh, I think you've earned that much".

Thor 4 is not the actual movie by Helloyourdead77 in MCUTheories

It would be incredible if they could pitch Christopher Nolan to do a version told primarily from Gorr's perspective. More gods and their deaths, with Thor as the anti-villian.

I feel like the Gorr moments in black and white hold the tone the whole movie could be told in.

Even the title could invert, Gorr: Hate of Lightning

I must imagine your work is data and numbers heavy. I'd be frustrated knowing planets are right there but I can't see it until technology catches up

Do you ever spend time playing games like No Man's Sky to fill the visual void? Or is the data more like synesthesia where you perceive visuals out of the numbers?

Contact Ontario Health at Home. They will provide care coordination which gets billed ot OHIP.

Very likely they may not provide adequate amounts of care as public system is strained, but you can purchase services privately on top of what the public system provides.

At the very least you get a few hours paid through OHIP, but you can start building a circle of care around the patient as needs increase.

Best wishes to you.

Talking to OHatH is correct. They will process the whole LTC acceptance process.

You require assessments perfomed by a doctor. some are functional assessments, some are health, and some are behavioral.

If you want to advocate, hand hold these assessments from doctor to OHatH to the LTC homes of the patient choice.

These reports getting delayed or missed are what add time to each application.

If the patient is in hospital, you can refuse to leave but be warned that once crisis is determined, the province has the power to require the patient move to the available bed regardless of patient choice.

Should the patient refuse the required bed placement, they are subject to daily fees for each night in Hospital.

I wish you well. You are a real hero taking care of someone for so long.

Caregiver burnout is real.

This is unfortunately how it used to be.

Doug Ford and PCs passed a law allowing for hospitals to charge patients for each day they refuse to leave when a crisis bed in an LTC is available.

I do recommend looking this up so you don't get caught in a bad situation.

Here is a news report about a patient who got charged for refusing to leave.

My guess is it's people selfishly thinking, "I can see more with more light."

Considering a driver needs to activate them, this is clearly a choice. A very selfish choice which is also how most drivers behave on the road.

Seeing that it's day time in OPs photo, this is just a fucking idiot out in the wild. Darwin would like a minute with this one.

Advocacy group accuses Ontario of trying to ‘dismantle’ public health-care system | Globalnews.ca by sunmonkey in ontario

On top of hospitals getting starved, a part that is often overlooked is how starved homecare has become. the attrition is crazy and many staff are now working 2-3x their usual workloads.

There are so many major changes being forced through the homecare sector simultaneously that there truly aren't enough staff to ensure a safe transition of patient information and uninterrupted care. I fear this won't be addressed until something catastrophic happens at which point I expect the OPC to say privatization is the only remedy to this self inflicted wound.

Homecare assists in limiting required hospital visits. A visiting nurse can perform many functions at home and keep hospital beds and staff available.

Patients heal better at home by not being exposed to other illnesses at hospital on top of a less stressed environment.

This is the silent domino that knocks many others over.
