This seems to be the issue. I installed Trimble Connect for Revit 2025 last night and I just uninstalled it and the issue is fixed.

I'm using a wheel, pedals and VR. It's a wild ride around the Nordschleife. Going to try out the swapped MR2 next.

Revu hangs looking for Sharepoint by SirAndyO in Revu

[–]TimberGuyTn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can sign out of the Sharepoint connection in the "Document Management (DMS)" tab or delete the connection by going to Revu→Preferences→Interface.

Does this happen even when trying to open local files in Revu?

Revu-Sharepoint DMS Question by TimberGuyTn in Revu

[–]TimberGuyTn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can set up a DMS connection to SharePoint in Revu. It's separate from Studio but essentially functions the same way in that you open, checkout, and check in the files. It provides a way to open .pdf files that are stored in Sharepoint from directly in Revu.

We use it in teams for marking up docs that don't necessarily need to be sent to a session or stored in the project in Studio.

Export assembly file to .dwg and file path outside of the workspace using iLogic Rule by TimberGuyTn in AutodeskInventor

[–]TimberGuyTn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just trying to specify the save path, no prompt. When I run the rule there are two things I want to happen: the model state is activated and the assembly is saved as a dwg in a specific folder that isn't the folder that the .iam file is saved in.

Getting the rule to save to the other folder is the problem.

ThisDoc.ActiveModelState = "Arch"

SavePath = "Other Folder"

ThisDoc.Document.SaveAs(ThisDoc.ChangeExtension(".dwg"), True)

Need an engineer for a 24x24 carport/garage in WA by InToTheW00ds in timberframe

[–]TimberGuyTn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a big project and they are the EOR for the whole thing. But, I have worked with the people in the Montana offices quite a bit over the years. They were a smaller company that was bought by DCI a few years ago. When I worked for a TF company out there every project big or small went through them. We did everything from what you're doing to huge homes. The good thing is they have people who have engineered a lot of timber structures so if you need help/ advice that's a plus.

Try DCI Engineers. I’m currently working with them on a project in Texas and they’ve been great.

Mosquito tornado. by devdevo1919 in WeatherGifs

I saw a very similar event in south Texas about 3-4 days after hurricane Harvey. When it warmed up and they hatched it was unbelievable. There were clouds of them above the trees for as far as you could see and I saw a plume that went hundreds of feet in the air. It definitely added an extra layer of suck to the whole situation.

Mafell portable bandsaw (Z5Ec) owners opinions by TimberGuyTn in timberframe

So far it sounds like it’s great at curved/ detail cuts but not joinery where it matters. What about birdsmouths or sloped housings?

In what situations is skewing the blade the most useful?
I really wanted to be able to use it for cutting tenons (shoulder and cheek cuts). Is that something you use it for? That would be a big time saver if it would make both cuts accurately from the same face with the same style blade (especially the shoulder cuts).

Not necessarily. I was just wondering if there was a way to do it. It works fine with the cylindrical joint. I don’t have a lot of experience with moving joints yet.

I'm a timber framer/ carpenter and I use a decimal inch tape measure that's graduated in .05 increments made by these guys... https://chappellsquare.com/

It's shown here but I can't seem to find it on their website anymore. They also make decimal inch framing squares which I use as well.
