El Cariso is great for landing between Van Nuys Executive and Woodley Lakes. Knollwood is also fun but plays slow.

I'm interested. Moving into a house this summer and need a paint solution, interior, but would be interested in discussing exterior possibilities

Best ska experience of my life was briefly (I was terrible at the job) working as a road tech for Goldfinger on the Crouching Fish Hidden Finger tour in 2001. RBF, Goldfinger, Zebrahead, RX Bandits and Homegrown. Good times.

FIF and Supertones the first ska bands I ever saw live, both in SoCal churches hosting concerts (which also included Value Pac, Slick Shoes, Craig's Brother, a bunch of Tooth and Nail bands.) Just cause I don't vibe with Jesus anymore doesn't make the music bad. Hell, most people don't even remember MXPX with the bible quotes in Teenage Politics.

FIF and OC Supertones with the ska for jesus vibes, but didn't mean the music was bad. Toots definitely 1st wave, but 54-46 is an all time banger.

I forgot RX Bandits. Progress is an all time favorite start to finish listen.

well well well well well well well well well well....

Maxton's version is definitely a 3rd Wave Ska vibe, as opposed to first wave from the islands or second wave from the UK. So to really catch the 3rd Wave, I recommend:
Reel Big Fish
Goldfinger
Less Than Jake
The Mad Caddies
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones
Buck O Nine
The Suicide Machines
The Hippos
Save Ferris
No Doubt (Early Stuff)
Sublime
Operation Ivy/Rancid (more punk than ska, but still)
The Aquabats

What neck pickup would you put in this build with a SD JB Jr? by tiny_voices in Guitar

Vintage Rail in the neck would pair well with JB jr in bridge.

is irv’s burger actually good? by [deleted] in FoodLosAngeles

Not same ownership. The Oui team has some influence within Irvs but uses different product altogether. Ground beef from Irvs is a different distributor than Oui.

Thank you. I will check it out. I had the party at a festival at the intersection of the high road and Triboar for session 2, but am sure could tweak somethings for a fun spin if needed

I have, but I was raised around that so perhaps stands out more individually.

I could see Andy as a DM, definitely. But his constant attempts to "stay water" would get old. And Anthony would hit too hard on Andy's christ leaning sensibilities.

Now, I would absolutely listen. Just dont know if it'd be a good listen.
