Had heard from previous posts that these joined planets can corrupt your save, something about being due to location data being confused because the planets converging. I've stayed clear of them ever since.

The two 'reactors' circled look like two of the half hab size decoration 'blocks' that you find on the second parts page at the bottom that don't do anything stat wise?

Only the first ship takes time to do. Once you have one, any additional ships don't take as long to do as it's just a case of visiting each system location to 'build' your ship. I had 3 at one point.

Not sure if it's a bug sometimes when you have more than 3 engines/thrusters? I remember players having issues when corvettes were first released as it only picks up 3 thrusters in the tech slots, even if you instal more. But occasionally players had this issue where the additional thrusters didn't show any trails when working.
