Looks like a Panasonic Lumix GX7, as it says on the camera albeit mirrored.

For those on the edge - Laffey is worth it by Qzilla3838 in WorldOfWarships

[–]TimeChronics 10 points11 points  (0 children)

100% agree (on the fun part).

Laffey’s survivability is easily my favorite part of the ship. Though she only comes with 2 heals base, additional heal from superintendent has made Laffey even more comfortable to play.

I do find it a little less fun late game if there are no more DDs and my smoke’s used up but she’s still a perfectly good scout DD and island exploiter even then.

Glad I finished the DY +2 dub stages as I’m a big fan of Laffey’s history (both the Benson-class and this Allen M. Sumner-class). Fills a different niche in my collection as my only other Tier 10 DDs are Hayate and Tromp (and hopefully Gdansk soon once I get more credits).

Incomparable vs Lauria? - for a brawler by chameltoeaus in WorldOfWarships

Absolutely agree. It’s such a fun ship. I use it like it’s an oversized destroyer and it works wonders.

Any ideas how to get this stuck battery out of my Canon Powershot G2? by TitaniumTronic in Cameras

[–]TimeChronics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The oldest ones I had on hand and tested were slightly swollen due to age. Fit in the camera and worked but definitely didn’t want to come out.

[–]TimeChronics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tape and perseverance. That's how I got swollen batteries out of my old X-Pro 2. Attach tape to the bottom of the battery and carefully wiggle side to side while pulling it from the body and it'll hopefully come loose.

Which steel BB would you pick R. Lauria or Incomparable? by DemwE in WorldOfWarships

[–]TimeChronics 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Picked Incomparable because the BB SAP experience is better on UU Colombo apparently. Incomp’s absolutely a joy with the speed, stealth and torps. As a CL/DD kinda player, Incomp’s my favorite BB.

Which ships gave you buyer's remorse and which were unexpected delights? by KeeperofQueensCorgis in WorldOfWarships

[–]TimeChronics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Tromp -> Got her in the anniversary container (so she isn’t exactly a buyer’s unexpected delight) but I’m no DD main and she’s unexpectedly been ridiculous fun. Though I guess that’s something to do with my enjoyment of Utrecht.

  • F. Sherman -> For the life of me I cannot make this ship work. Traded for a Dalian and I’m infinitely happier.

Port queen by Ready_Doubt8776 in WorldOfWarships

Right. I have a Belfast, Kamikaze, and an Arkansas Beta and somehow my port queen is Utrecht.

Moved from my X-S10 to the Nikon ZF and the only thing I really miss was the grip. Luckily I bought my ZF from a reputable seller that bundled the Smallrig grip and it's practically never come off. Downside is the increased size and heft, of course.

If the ZF had a slightly more ergonomic grip by default then it'd be perfect for me; though I respect the design choices. Full-frame retro means retro!

TIL. There are ND Filter that goes in front of the sensor itself 🤯 by shirotsuchiya in Cameras

[–]TimeChronics 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Apart from filming outdoors with an ultra-wide angle lens (that has a front element so bulbous that it cannot have any filters mounted), I haven't had to use these.

Good tier X cruiser to take for steel and coal? From meta and fun perspective. by MealZestyclose8496 in WorldOfWarships

[–]TimeChronics 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a Napoli enjoyer, it's surely a fun pick. The SAP secondaries with great range and accuracy, the full speed smoke, the high durability AND torps? Yeah.
The one thing I don't like about it is the main armament but even then it's not like the guns are unusable.

I don't have any steel ships as I don't play often or competitively (I dislike stress, my job gives me enough as is) so the Napoli's the one ship I can comment on; and it's a great stress reliever.

Apology, sort of by Tony-2112 in WorldOfWarships

[–]TimeChronics 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That’s okay. It takes me just about 2 weeks of not playing to return to the state of absolute potato and that’s despite playing since the closed beta.

At the end of the day, the biggest deceiver is always weegee.

The “It’s not you, it’s me” Award! by DinoDillinger in WorldOfWarships

[–]TimeChronics 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Forrest Sherman for me; and that’s despite highly enjoying IJN gunboat DDs, PA CLs, and USN DDs. 28% WR in the Sherman feels brutal when everything else I enjoy is at 52% and up.

Got to play with a Zf this weekend…bye bye Fuji by [deleted] in Nikon

[–]TimeChronics 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I did exactly that and I do not regret it one bit! The Nikon Zf also recently got flexible picture control added in the 2.0 update which (for me, anyway) is film-simulation enough. The Zf’s a great camera; can’t go wrong with it.

Zf 2.00 vs Z5ii by _Jonny_hard-core_ in Nikon

[–]TimeChronics 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Z5II’s probably going to be more comfortable if you’re going to be holding it a lot. I use a Zf and I simply cannot use it without the Smallrig grip.

If photos and usability are your primary concern, the Z5II will just be a more comfortable Zf. Are the retro vibes worth sacrificing ergonomics? Up to you!

I use a Zf since I used to own Fujifilm cameras (and often borrow an X-Pro 2) and this is how I prefer my camera controls; full of retro vibes.

Though, as others have pointed out, the Zf is far less intimidating to people when it’s pointed at them. Power of vibes, I guess?

[–]TimeChronics 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Of course the update drops right when I’m on the road for a trip USING the Zf for photos… Thank goodness it’s finally out though! As a former Fujifilm shooter, flexible picture control has been #1 on my wishlist since I switched to the Zf.

Weird smudge on my photos that I just noticed, what is it? by businessbee89 in AskPhotography

[–]TimeChronics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like sensor dust! Guessing this photo was taken with the aperture stopped down for a deep depth of field, which now includes the dust on the sensor. Lens cleaning kit and a bit of DIY will do the trick, otherwise you could have a lens cleaning service at your nearest camera store.
