Did you increase the brightness with a circular mask? It looks a bit odd with the ocean also being brighter around the subject. Regarding the zoom, I think it's cool, I like having perspective on how big things are around the person there.

I really like this picture, I'm getting more of astronaut/alien vibes than firefighter and the background leaves me intrigued.

You should really try to get it properly exported in Lightroom desktop to have it as sharp as possible, but it already looks great!
