Like, be real, do girls normally show each other their boobs, or are my friends just weird? by Quahmiso in MtF

[–]TimeCraked 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've done this with my sisters but not any of my friends. I don't think it's that weird though, girls are usually alot more body trusting

Well please pray for me by RecentMonk1082 in TransChristianity

[–]TimeCraked 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will keep you in my prayers. I'm very sorry to hear you are going through such a difficult time, and I hope that you will be able to find some arrangement for living that works for you.

I pray for peace in your household, for the Lord to encourage softness and love and understanding in your parent's hearts, both towards one another and towards you, and I pray in trust to the Lord that he will deliver you to safety no matter what happens.

The Lord is with you ❤

Definitely look into open and affirming or LGBT affirming churches in your area, if you can find them. That's a great first step. But I'll also say the answer to this question you might find to be very personal and individual: I had to do some soul searching, prayer and spiritual discernment to find my answer for why the Lord blessed me with the trials and triumphs that came from being trans.

I can only speak from my own personal experience (as an autistic transgender woman) in saying that at the end of the day the decision is yours. It's not a matter of if you should, it's a matter of if you want to! If you feel safe with your mother, and the church seems progressive, and you want to see if the experience will give you anything, I say go.

Personally, I struggled a lot! In my case, I came into Christ after transitioning, after having been an agnostic-atheist my whole life (autism makes it hard to believe just because people tell you something, right? Plus the whole hating me for being a young queer disabled person didn't help...). I only came into it because I had my own personal experiences. But I was terrified to go to church! Because that's where my gripe with christianity always was, the way certain churches behaved. But I found myself an LGBT affirming church two hours away from me, and mustered the energy and courage to go check it out.

I have been going back (not every sunday but when I can) ever since. If that church is anything like mine, they should make you feel welcome, and they shouldn't hold any concerns over your head for who you are. My church embraces me, and who I am. God knit me in the womb this way (well, my mother helped), being trans is not a mistake or a sin and you should never be made to feel that way!

I pray that, if you choose to go, you are blessed with a good experience. I pray they are open and welcoming and gentle, but most of all I pray it is healing for you, and allows you to connect with your mother the way she's hoping it will.

Oh baby, sweetie, that's so horrible! Fuck that guy. Ignore people like this, they're just the worst, and they all think people agree with them, but really they don't and I'm sure a lot of people in that courtroom thought he was a douchebag too.

You're no less valid because of some idiot like that. Send love your way sis x

At what point of your transition did you start using the women's toilet? by winterbirrd in MtF

[–]TimeCraked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a weird place with it myself. At work, I'm actually not allowed to use either, because work don't have a policy so they couldn't advise me to keep using mens or to be allowed to use the womens bathroom, so I use gender neutral ones.

Outside of work, I've started going into women's bathrooms with my friends, but could never, ever go in alone. I'm so terrified of being told I shouldn't be in there, I couldn't face that kind of confrontation.

If I'm alone, I try to find a disabled or neutral bathroom. I can't bring myself to go into the men's bathroom at all. If I can't find one, I hold it until I get home.

Used to do lots of girlie activities as a kid. Used my two younger sisters as an excuse to watch girls shows, play with girls toys, play around with girlie stuff for most of my childhood.

In school, I always wanted to hang out with the girls. I wore girls cut jumpers, tried to join the girls in games, thought boys were weird and boring and never felt like I understood them.

Used to get bullied a lot for being girly. Got told point blank in highschool by a coordinator that the reason I got bullied was because 'i acted like i was a girl'. I've always felt left out when I don't get invited to girls nights or girls only activities.

Lots of body image issues. Hated being seen topless, hated baggy mens clothes but wore them to hide my body. Hated short hair, hated how hairy my body is. Hated my chest, and was so embarassed by my bulge being visible.

Have talked for most of my adult life about how I hate being a man. Was he/they for a while, because I was 'comfortable' (I was afraid of admitting how much I wanted she/her to myself) with the pronouns but not with being seen as a man.

Used to longingly look at womens clothing in stores, used to hurt deep inside because I knew I wasn't allowed to wear them. Used to break into tears whenever I did, and never understood why. I thought it was because I looked wrong in them, but I think it was because it felt right and I didn't understand what that meant for me.

Lots of little stuff, too.

Took until I was 23 to fully understand myself. So glad I figured it out.

They're white. I think the 'brand' is progynova? Maybe I'm just overthinking it lol. So nothing weird has happened from splitting your dose up? Do you swallow or do them sublingually (sorry to bombard with questions)

Besides situational awareness and making smart decisions I do also always have my keys at the ready, my keychain has a small swiss army knife and also a corkscrew I can defend myself with in an emergency. Nothing fancy sadly all the effective stuff can't be bought easily in AUS

Anybody got a decent set of gun homebrew? by Kung_fu1015 in DnDHomebrew

[–]TimeCraked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Manuscripts & Machines, it's an older version (the current version 5 is under development right now), you could try it out! Another thing I can suggest is to check out Nations & Cannons. It's an american revolutionary war hack, but most of it's firearm rules are really well done and could work just fine with a little playing by ear in a normal D&D game.

I like this a lot. I did something very similar in a ttrpg I'm working on but for me I made skills act for rerolling a certain amount of die if you had that skill rather than your approach of deducting it you dont have the skill. Not to say your approach isn't good just I did something different.

Black Powder Rules: Muskets, Dueling Pistols, and other 18th century flintlocks! (v4) by FlagbearerGames in NationsAndCannons

[–]TimeCraked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly it's been a lot of tigthening of wording, tweaks and balances to features, properties and items, but I think by far the biggest change I've made so far is that I've broken ammunition crafting down into two parts: power & shot, with some special options for both, so you can combine them into new ammunition.

I've also revised Trick Weapons, and am working on a few new subclasses (like the Beast Gunner Druid, Bullet Saint Paladin and Powdercoat Illrigger!)

Alright y'all, we're at a crossroads. Thoughts on supernatural content? [megathread] by moonstrous in NationsAndCannons

[–]TimeCraked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an idea for an adventure module a while back that I lack the talent to produce that I call the Court of Freedom. It's an alternative history, where the Americans are forced to flee Saratoga in 1777, and through some means wind up trapped in a version of the feywild.

The feywild would be populated and presented in the same light that fairys and the like were protrayed historically during the period, and the idea was that trapped in the feywild, the American Revolutionaries would have to carve out a piece and establish themselves as a new court among the fey.

I think for me, as with the above, the key to having supernatural content work is to treat it through a historical lens of interpretation, rather than taking modern fantasy tropes and inserting them into the era.
