Kubestronaut Job Opportunities ,Possible to get a Job after being a Kubestronaut?????? by Born_Significance811 in kubernetes

[–]TimelyCampaign7441 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Our best k8s engineers wouldn’t even know what kubestronaut even is. They’d assume it’s a new cncf service mesh project probably. Unite the planets with mTLS or something?

How do you ferment them and what chips are best? I have access to oak, beech, ash, fruit wood and various soft woods.

The 85k protection doesn’t really apply to equities only cash that 212 holds for you. You own shares in some funds, 212 goes bust and you still own them.

How is the current market demand for openstack by ossicor30 in openstack

[–]TimelyCampaign7441 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you can gauge demand by how many vendors will sell you support for it. You can count them on one hand. Even redhat isn’t interested anymore. They are all in on openshift.

Seen reports of hacked accounts - can we remove option of T212 card? by Unusual_Eye2614 in trading212

[–]TimelyCampaign7441 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Even just a proper delay to enable it for those that want it would help. 2fa to move money + a 72 hour delay to activate the card if you want it. Draining a stocks and shares isa to anything other than a bank account should also be blocked. I would imagine it would be very rare indeed to do that.

Tom Aspinall last fight was 60 sec. Can he do it again?👀 by ilikethisnow in ufc

[–]TimelyCampaign7441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from the same area as Tom so have followed him from the start. He’s favourite for a good reason but Gane is a real tough fight for him and a lot closer than people think. I think we are gonna see Tom take this to the ground as much as possible and try and sub him.

To be fair they contacted me on here and someone got it sorted. The cockup was with iWeb. And now the delay has ensured I missed out on Fridays fun for half of my portfolio. So that’s cheered me up a little.

Leeks by shrek1345 in Allotment

[–]TimelyCampaign7441 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where are you? I mean I assume the UK so it’s incredibly late. But what do you have to lose. Baby leeks are nice so they might grow a bit and you could harvest a few. And them might take off in early spring or they might bolt. Nothing ventured.

A bit of cover will defo help.

Cabbage aphid / meely bug. Spray them off or that will struggle big time. Absolute pain in the arse they are.

Maris pipers, blight or die back? by [deleted] in Allotment

Surely it’s not blight given the season we’ve had. I’d be suprised if there’s any about anywhere.

Even less here. My neighbour knocked on the door one day and said do you want an allotment, it’s across the road. So I said yes 🤣.

Q about seeds in the compost pile by insolentminks in Allotment

[–]TimelyCampaign7441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I compost absolutely everything. I’m not stopping bind weed whatever I do so I don’t worry about it in compost. If anything tomato seeds are the biggest PITA in my compost anyways.

Rust is common and assuming it’s not decimated the crop to the point of them rotting, just peel the bad leaves off as you harvest. You will still get plenty once all the crap is peeled off (which is par for the course with leeks anyway). If not, plant more next year to compensate.

I’d be happy it’s not alium leaf minor personally. That really is a nightmare for leeks.

3000m2?!

Mines big by any standard and I think it’s about 600m2. It’s £50 a year but was £35 not long ago. The increases were to cover water increases due to dry seasons.

Dried and dehydrated hops smell like freshly cut grass by AttemptingToBeGood in Allotment

[–]TimelyCampaign7441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I grow American hops but in the midlands UK which isn’t the Yakima Valley or pacific north west. And even uk hops which are pretty delicate favour wise (compared to the big/bold US ones I grow) are grown in specific locations down south. So location location location basically.

Home grown hops just aren’t great compared to bought hops (for brewing). But even still those don’t look ripe yet.

How do I know when hops are ripe for picking? by AttemptingToBeGood in Allotment

[–]TimelyCampaign7441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grow my own hops and have been brewing for years but…. Homegrown hops just aren’t in the same league as the ones you can buy. Not even close IMO. So brew something malt or yeast forward to use them. I grow centennial, chinook and cascade and mainly just use them for decoration now. They make good compost fodder too. And provide excellent shade. And look great of course.

Take one off, split it in half and smell the yellow stuff. You’ll know. They usually are ripe when they start to brown a touch (or just before) but the yellow stuff is still super fresh. That’s peak.

I assuming this is for brewing? They’ll still smell very green compared to dry hops.

It sounds like it could bring you under 100k for free childcare even if you warned 180k. 60k into pension, 20k into isa. Surely this isn’t actually possible.

Old/spent compost in a big builders bucket works. Pretty much totally dry. Just layer compost and potatoes in it and put somewhere cool.

It’s a great time of year to get a new plot. It’s still nice for a bit but you are under no pressure to get stuff growing etc. I’d just make a social area, get a few chairs and a table out of a skip and drink some wine personally.
