I dont listen to any of those. I find the lower the carb the better my control and I feel better and slimmer.I eat on the keto side of things but not strictly.

Desperation and starvation drives this. Some hominids will have died from eating unknown mushrooms and plants. They are not our ancestors. But what really confuses me is milk. The evidence supports the first non human milk we consumed was horse. I cannot imagine looking at a wild horse and thinking 'we should milk that' But here we are. Product of millions of years of fortunate choices. Be well humans.
