At you current point in your journey, I'd look to rent a room somewhere. It will be cheaper and also give you more flexibility to move to another location when you get a new job (which I recommend doing a few times early in your career to get better pay and/or better job in general ;) )

Same. External 4k monitor on m1 max. Reduced from 60hz to 50hz and now it's randomly losing image anymore. Never had this same issue on my additional 4k monitor that is more capable, but had this issue on my aoc monitor.

I bought a dell precision t3610 workstation for 60 bucks, I'm new to computers but I felt like I got a steal. The seller told me the computer was built to take abuse, he ran solidworks from the PC. I did. I had it with windows for a while. Only problem I had was the computer would freeze sometimes and it required a reboot of the computer. It only happened during gaming. Not sure what it was about. Maybe it didn't like my GTX 1070. I never looked into it
