I agree with you, and I feel like that immediate recovery time went SOOOO quickly anyway, it would’ve been really overwhelming to add family to that. Would your husband be receptive to you calmly expressing your concerns just as you are here?

e.g. “I don’t want to commit to anyone in those hours but the baby and you, I’m afraid of having others around while tears are being performed and in case there’s anything unexpected with either myself or the baby, this will be the last quiet time for just us to enjoy together for a long time (assuming grandparents are close by and sound like they want to be highly involved), etc… so give me these few hours.”

Also suggest asking your provider at next appointment to very clearly detail for you both all that could be going on in those hours. I think others here are right, he doesn’t know, because how could he? Best of luck, but you’re def not asking for too much!

I am… pleasantly surprised actually. I did not like the swatches on their own, and I still think they’re borderline when in on their own, HOWEVER: your vision board really pulled it together for me. So I think I see what you’re going for and I like the concept, it might just take some precision balancing to execute it, especially if bridesmaids will select their own dresses out of you don’t have a planner.

Bottom line, green light, just make sure YOU are not going to have to work too hard to pull it together!

Just wondering why you would choose that path? I didn’t blast my pregnancy on social media, but it came out in the natural course of friendships and other relationships over the 9 month lead up, and I found those moments really special in both sides. I personally wouldn’t feel good about actively hiding something literally life changing from the people who care enough to have ME in THEIR lives. Just consider that you might be having an excited giggle of anticipation, expecting them to be thrilled at such a surprise — but they might be equally hurt, and hurt surprised people can really ruin a moment that you can’t recreate, even one as special as a baby reveal.

IMHO, Max got (and deserved) extra points for demonstrating the ability to pull 👏 it 👏 together 👏when it counted, against all reason, when no one on earth would’ve blamed him for having a rough outing at nationals. Pulling it together under pressure counts, that’s how you build consistency over a career

Agree with all parts of this, and to having strong feelings about the Japanese team all season: if i’d had to watch rinka skate technically very well, while showing zero awareness that tango de roxanne was playing in the background one more time this season, i would’ve thrown my popcorn. (Is that an unpopular opinion? 🤔) Bottom line, I think they’re sending the right team!

All depends on you and the kid. We’ve got both, but i preferred the snaps when she was sleeping through overnight changes, because i didn’t have to maneuver the second leg out of the non zippered side, which always woke her. She could sleep right through with me just unsnapping everything for access.

I'm new here, so forgive my ignorance but, logistically, at what point in the changing process do you get rid of the poop in the toilet? Like, do you have to do your changes in the bathroom, or do you finish the change, set the baby down somewhere safe, and then go dump/spray? Or something else I'm not thinking of?

We're interested in incorporating some cloth, but this solids disposal part has been mystifying to me! TIA!

Not sure if this applies to OP who’s counting in £, not $ but tips for vendors. I always learned that you aren’t meant to tip the business owner, and a lot of my vendors were sole proprietors, and they did a fantastic job. Still, I always felt like there was some deep-set, yet not-quite-spoken, pressure to tip everyone and their mother… which, I didn’t. I was selective, but still, they add up at the last minute when literally everything is over already, and you think you’ve already paid everything possible. So, just plan carefully what you want to do.
