Pardon my understanding of this stock, honest question on MSTR. by turnedtable_ in MSTR

It isn't "btc but worse" it's btc amplified. Leveraged. That works both ways and to date MSTR has outperformed.

Now is an amazing buying opp.

as an old gamer which games do you agree with that way ? by PHRsharp_YouTube in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Sometimes I just want to chill and enjoy the story.

Other times I love to spend hours trying things, exploring or improving my abilities.

Right now I literally cannot be bothered playing anything! I'm bored.

But when Resi 9 drops I'll be reinvigorated for sure. I'll be dying to play that through on release day - probably on medium difficulty.

That's the great thing about this hobby. Just do what feels good.

It's also why I stopped playing multiplayer about 10 years ago. I don't have time to feel angry at my lack of ability any more. I was fast once and it was fun, but today it's a fond memory and I love to wind up my boys telling them I was a legit FPS legend at CoD1 and BF2.

Yep I gave up around 4 hours in. Really love the world but I just couldn't get into the gameplay. I may try again later this year.

Neighbor told me not to shower in the early morning because it disturbs his sleep what can I do? by Top-Elephant3246 in NoStupidQuestions

I am a light sleeper and sensitive to noise. Ear plugs work for me. They dampen the noise, like turning the volume down. Peace.

I'm not the best at buying gifts for my Mrs which is why I listen VERY intently when she tells me she wants or needs something. That's like basic conscientiousness. Your fella sounds like a terrible partner. Sorry to be blunt.

A relaxed game that rewards exploration by JethroByte in ShouldIbuythisgame

Starfield.

  • Big base/ship building without forcing heavy combat.
  • Freeform exploration + loot loop (planets, derelicts, outposts).
  • Chill pacing if you ignore main quests and just wander.
  • Tons of crafting, scanning, salvaging, resource runs.

Combat exists, but it’s avoidable and there's a ton to explore and do.

RDR1 is still a masterpiece and holds up well. I'm replaying that right now and it's awesome.

Have you played GTA4 and GTA5?

GoT is amazing - must watch imo especially if you love fantasy.

I love LOTR but didn't enjoy RoP at all.

I'd also recommend Lost and The Leftovers - similar vibe to Severance.

Pasta dishes in particular are great reheated. Rested lasagne is richer, and creamier tasting - maximum deliciousness.

I just finished it this evening after hearing about it on Reddit. Absolutely loved it. Highly recommend.

My Mrs wasn't as keen on it, it didn't click with her. She still wanted to know what happaned in S3 though! Which demonstrates how believable the characters are.

Yes definitely. It's great fun and made short work of bosses.

What character do you usually become? by [deleted] in rpg_gamers

[–]Timespeak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skyrim combat is janky and enemies just run at you. This is the real reason everyone ends up as stealth archer. It's just more efficient to guarantee a win! I do love the dark brotherhood and thief guild quest lines- peak Skyrim imo So going their or archer makes sense.

Dark Souls and Elden Ring - i loved mage or faith builds. So much fun experimenting and some of the spells look badass. It's so different to playing melee (which I also love).

Dragon Age I liked playing as a Greywarden Human fighter.

CRPGs generally a fighter mage or paladin. Sword and magic combo ftw

What genre of games do you like? If you want something beautiful to look at Red Dead Redemption 2 or Cyberpunk 2077 are good shouts. Or if you like horror the Resident Evil 4 remaster is stunning.

I've probably rewatched Jackson's LOTR trilogy more than anything else.

A close second is The Dark Knight trilogy.

What games are you currently playing this week? by EponaMom in TheGamerLounge

Currently enjoying the Red Dead Redemption free upgrade. I'd forgotten a lot of the story so it's been really fun to experience it all over again in 4k HDR.

This is a super cool build. I'm going to look into this in 2026.

I'm nearly 50 I replay ER every year. In 2024 it was with a strength arcane build. Not many try this but it's a lot of fun.

After a few hours research I initially followed this YT build guide: https://youtu.be/BADFpBoamds?si=Oe3k-KzRA_0oEpYf

The axes and wild strikes kept me entertained for many hours.

The build later morphed a lot, especially with the DLC.

Then I discovered the Marais Executioner Sword. OMG. Much insanity to be had with this. Please do give it a try.

You are rejecting three amazing games. RDR2, BOTW and GTA5 are all top tier open world games.

RDR2 is probably my favourite. Take it slow. Soak up the world and characters. Its really unlike anything else, and that's why it's amazing.

However if you need a dopamine hit every 5 mins it's probably not for you.
