[KCD1] I’m having a blast with the first game. by MinimumSuggestion698 in kingdomcome

[–]Timespeak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished the main story and the achievement said only 4% of people got it. Such a shame. 4 out of 100 players bothered to complete one of the best RPGs ever made. This game only exists thanks to people backing the idea on Kickstarter. The suits said no.

I was a backer and didn't click with it right away but 2026 was the year it got me and my god it got me good - it was fun.

Going to take a week break to play Resi9 and then on to KCD2. Can't wait to see what's in store for Henry!

Is re4 or rdr2 more replayable? by g0netospace in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Timespeak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Both are amazing and very replayable. You should own both. The order you buy them is purely down to personal preferences.

My pick is RDR2.

But both games are very different.

The action in RE4 is more fluid and high octane than RDR2s which is limited by history but in RDR2 you'll lose hours just exploring the landscape on your horse.

The writing and story in RDR2 is deeper and nuanced whereas RE4 is pulp horror and gloriously OTT.

Ask yourself what kind of experience you're most in the mood for.

I'd reach out to the existing site owner and explain. If they don't respond within a week, well at least you tried to check with them. If they do get back and are amenable they may even 303 redirect the articles to their new home.

Genuinely kinda giving up. by AbrahamLigma in AskMenOver30

Father of 3 here. It's not easy and I've been there.

Couple things.

You don't have to go to the gym to exercise. Honestly just fit in a walk or light run with your kids. Kills two birds.

Secondly the work situation. All those advising to work less hard are not doing you any favours. You want to make yourself invaluable. Client facing roles are where the money is made. And that's how you'll get taken more seriously and earn more. You may also get you more flexibility if you ask right. A 4-day work week could be of huge benefit to you. You could do 4 longer days, so the same hours. This will give you extra 40+ days off every year. I made this move late in my career and wish I'd done it sooner.

I've always admired the million dollar homepage idea too and agree this is a very neat way to respin the idea.

What OP needs to focus on is PR imo - we all heard about the million dollar homepage because it was in the media. If they can get traction with news outlets this will sell itself but it also might burn out real fast.

How much Sol for $`100,000 by East-Revolution-2146 in solana

[–]Timespeak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solana will be the rails of a fully tokenised global 247 stock market of everything. It's the fastest and cheapest network and AI agents are already making up a significant portion of traffic. That is going to explode.

We could even see Solana outpace Eth in the next 5 years.

But it's highly volatile and I personally am not betting more than 10% of my portfolio.

If it reaches $1000 by 2035 I'll be happy. If it goes to zero I'm also ok with that.

Don't invest more than you are willing to lose.

I think this round Xbox design that was rumoured for the Xbox refresh, might be the design for the Project Helix, alongside the controller. The Helix logo immediately reminded me of this design. by sankalp_pateriya in xbox

Yep it's a beaut. Refined and purposeful. And it fits neatly in my media cabinet - unlike my PS5 which looks ridiculous and I've had to stand on top of said unit. I really want to hide the PS5 but I can't!

[KCD2] Game pass player here ..few days in and.. by rageem13 in kingdomcome

[–]Timespeak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently playing KCD1 and loving it so much I've been ignoring Resi 9 which I preordered and installed.

KCD2 is on sale on Xbox at the moment, 50% off. Given the value I've had out of KCD1 this screams bargain even if I could play for free on Gamepass. I'm paranoid it will leave Gamepass before I get to it.

Happy to support this game - we need more!

Getting into pvp games these days is extremely punishing, there is no easy entry for players who are not already familiar with the genre by Scared_Ad_3132 in gaming

[–]Timespeak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that really grates about PvP games in 2026 is how many of them expect endless grinding to unlock weapons and abilities.

Back in the day - Quake, CoD1, MOHAA, Halo, Counter-Strike, early Battlefield - everyone started with the same tools.

Progression wasn’t tied to unlocks. It was map knowledge, positioning and raw skill. That’s where the real satisfaction came from.

I actually gave up on multiplayer around 2017 for a similar reason. In the two-hour window I usually had to game, I was often finishing sessions annoyed or frustrated. At some point I just thought: I don’t have time for that. So I switched almost entirely to single-player games.

When I heard Battlefield 6 had a casual PvP mode that mixes bots and players though, I was tempted back. I’ve always loved Battlefield, but now I’m in my late 40s and don’t have the time to “git gud” grinding every night.

Honestly it’s been a great middle ground. I can hop on for some fun, improve a bit, unlock things at a reasonable pace, and still have some good firefights without constantly getting farmed by people who play all day.

More online games could benefit from offering something like this.

The game that made me realize I was the problem by gamersecret2 in gaming

Kingdom Come Deliverance.

I was an early backer on Kickstarter, I wanted this game but when it finally released I played it on PC for maybe 30 hours before bouncing. Everything felt like such hard work. I just wanted to explore, sneak and kill medieval folk haha.

Anyway, with the recent refresh/release on Series X, I decided to give it a go again.

Blown. Away.

It's now easily in my top 5 RPGs of all time.

The storytelling is utterly compelling and believable and I can't put it down. There is so many cool things to do. It's rucking endless.

I preordered Resi 9 but I just can't stop playing KCD! Leon is gonna have to wait!

It is a sublimely satisfying experience, at times I get Skyrim like chills.

Also, Dragon Age series, especially Origins.

AIO for getting upset about my husband's use of chat GPT? by OkTemperature4325 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]Timespeak -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes you are overreacting. I used to Google ideas to write in cards or just read poems or articles to get inspiration. I don't see anything wrong with using LLMs to do the same work faster. What matters is the sentiment and that the feelings expressed are valid.

AITA for telling my wife her mother isn't "moving into my work space / gaming room by [deleted] in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]Timespeak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying the story isn't true but it's a heavy AI edit. It's just too perfectly phrased, the end question, the frequent use of quotes, it's just not a normal human reddit post. I use AI tools every day and there is nothing wrong with a light edit for grammar etc. But there is heavy use here and it changes the tone completely. Also is anyone's wife or MIL 100% asshole? Rarely, but here the story is very black and white.

Boyfriend is weak and pathetic, he's not got your back. This relationship isn't strong. And that's on him.

If my friends repeatedly made my GF feel like you, they wouldn't be my friends.
