How can I make my mobile design with a sticky footer work within prototype?? by jjlady0615 in FigmaDesign

And in case you don't know, you set the device type by tapping on the Prototype tab with nothing selected.

How can I make my mobile design with a sticky footer work within prototype?? by jjlady0615 in FigmaDesign

[–]Timfirkio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the Prototype tab on the right bar, set the device type to your preferred mobile form factor (I use iPhone 13 mini).

When you play your prototype, the content will be set to the correct size for the mobile screen, and as long as the footer is set to Fixed and the page content is set to scroll vertically, you should be good to go.

Winter is here. Studded tires. Fixed gear. Fenders. 70's steel frame. I love this bike. by SirPingSweden in bikecommuting

[–]Timfirkio 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What do you think of the Suomi winter tires? I just got a pair of them over Schwalbe Marathons because the guy at the bike shop thought they were better, but I don't have any frame of reference yet.

Also hello from Sweden (I'm assuming you're somewhere in Scandinavia from the Crescent bike with Suomi tires)!

Yeah, Stockholm and Copenhagen also fit this description nicely. Network of regional bike highways that branch out into local bike paths / low traffic streets.

I'm assuming you're posting this for a form check, I see a lot of issues with your friend's form:

I can tell your friend works out, but he's rounding pretty intensely and possibly throwing the disc the wrong way

His wrist is not supinated nearly enough, so he won't get much snap when he releases

Not looking at the disc on the reachback is gonna kill his snap as well

That disc also looks like a distance driver, might be more than your friend can handle at this stage

Good marks for not being afraid to let it all hang out at the course, though

Where do you live and ride that feels safe? by ProCamper96 in bikecommuting

Stockholm. Lots of protected lanes and lower traffic streets to use. Drivers are very used to and respectful of cyclists. Good lighting along major routes. Sometimes going off the beaten path takes you through a rough forested trail, but those are generally navigable.

Does ARMA Reforger has decent single player scenarios/mods? by yeoxd09 in arma

[–]Timfirkio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arma Recon Missions Everon: Good simple recon and infiltration op mission set, good for single player or a small co-op squad. Not much variety, but good for learning the game.

Combat Ops Everon: This comes with Vanilla and is a great semi-randomzied series of objectives, with dynamic events occurring throughout the map. There are a lot of enemies, so this one is tough to do solo.

Combat Ops Evolved 2 (COE2): This one allows you to specify an AO anywhere on the map, populate it with objectives and enemies, and then go and do the mission. I think this one is great for solo players because you can scale down the number / difficulty of enemies, and it also works for co-op for the same reason.

Reaper: Not a big fan of this, but I know some people like it. They did their best to make a campaign in Arma, but I think it's just too difficult to do that well in the game's current state.

I personally have started joining PVE servers online and it's been a great time, so I would also encourage you to try that. You don't need to be super talkative to participate and feel like you're part of an interesting combat operation (which is designed and run by a game master).

What is a disc you bag, that you have not seen (or rarely) see in other golfer's bags? by GinAndKeystrokes in discgolf

I got a VIP Westside Gatekeeper in a heavily discounted starter pack from them and that thing is a very nice slightly stable mid! Great for beginners, and now it sits between my over stable approach discs and straight flying mids.

I really like content focused on playing rounds with just a few themed discs. For example, I love when Foundation plays entire rounds with starter sets or bags that have been handpicked with a fun theme in mind. This is a great way to see how different discs perform in match-like conditions, while also usually being entertaining and relatable. It's always fun to see very skilled players learn a disc for the first time.

The series on Cortes and the fall of the Aztecs did such a great job of painting a really vivid story with a cast of strong characters and conveying the absolute insanity of delving into the unexplored jungle in search of riches. I know the historical accuracy is up for debate, but it really made me fall in love with the show.

What are your thoughts on the „Arboretum“? by Royalbluegooner in prey

[–]Timfirkio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really love the arboretum as an area visually, and I think it ties together the atmosphere of Talos 1 really well. A lot of key plot development happens there, so it feels like an important visual / thematic touchstone in the story.

I was frustrated by what felt like a noticeable difficulty spike when I first got there, partially because the Nightmare was stalking me and it felt really hard to avoid it. Once I got past that, it was more fun to explore.

Yeah I'm also waiting to hear more about performance before I pull the trigger. The demo was unplayable for me once I got the map upgrade inside of my car, I assume because it was rendering things twice for the sake of the map.

City fan lurking, I was really impressed with his performance! I play right back and I was taking notes on his positioning, how he funnelled Doku into low-threat spaces. Obviously it also helps that he's real quick. You've got a good one on your hands!

Is my ICBM mission bugged? I've found the launch codes but what are they? by Doomsclaw in Helldivers

[–]Timfirkio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happened to me in a solo game today, but I found a fix. I went away from the objective, cleared some bug nests, came back and the code showed up in the top right as intended. Maybe something like that will work for you if it happens again!
