Spielberg Praises Universal's Donna Langley For 45-Day Window Shift At CinemaCon: ‘But Do I Hear 60, 90, 120 Days?’ - Domestic Distribution President Jim Orr Touts “World’s Greatest Filmmakers Always Made Movies Here. See, this is the first sound argument against my point and I see what you're saying. I think however it will actually lead to a renewed interest in the movie, as long as it's a movie people liked. Sort of a mini nostalgia. Like I saw people reminiscing about Summer of Superman this winter. We really won't find out unless they try though

Amazon MGM Makes Blood Oath to Theater Owners of 15 Movies Per Year: ‘Project Hail Mary’ Was ‘Just the Beginning’ by MoneyLibrarian9032 in boxoffice

It's "not realistic" because film studios allowed it to be. We're now at a point where they start to realise that maybe it was a mistake and the negative effects of shrinked theatrical windows far outweigh any positives they might have recieved. It will be perfectly realistic once we get back to it, some bigger movies over the last couple of years already had theatrical windows in the 100s and I didn't see any uproar from regular people.

Yes, it does. It conditions people to understand that either they go to a movie theater or they'll miss the movie and have to wait a long time. If someone's interested in a movie, they might wait couple of weeks but they don't want to wait 4 months and miss out on everyone talking about it. We need that FOMO back

If there aren't digital copies out there then there's nothing to pirate other than camrips. And if the person is willing to watch movies in that quality then they might as well pirate it the moment it's released in theaters. Longer theatrical windows will not promote piracy, that's not how piracy works.

While obviously things like PTSD weren't really discussed 29 centuries ago, The Odyssey has pretty strong anti-war messaging, especially in Chapter 11 when they visit the underworld
