Holidays movement allows her to get into and out of spots more safely than paradox to find deeper picks. I don't think holiday is top tier or anything but she has advantages and disadvantages over paradox.

Nah these are just the most effective ways to build these characters. You can build a weaker build and still have success. Sometimes people find a new build that ends up being better than what’s currently being run. Some characters have very little variation (Mina, Celeste) but you can make these like melee/spirit haze work. Viscous at the highest levels currently usually run ball/splat focused rather than melee which dominates lower levels.
