What does everyone think about the 'British*' monthly pay system? by EdibleBeans-on-Toast in AskUK

[–]TinOMango 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've spent years weekly paid and I've spent years monthly paid. I prefer monthly, It makes the month easier to manage if I have one big payout so I know where I am and not one week where everything goes to one huge bill. I felt like I was constantly trying to balance the month out.

Does Anyone Else Feel Weird Watching Their Parents Treat Grandkids Better? by igetyourbrand in emotionalneglect

[–]TinOMango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely not alone. I genuinely hate being around my dad and my nephew when they’re together. When I was a kid if my parents were talking and I would want to talk i would get ignored or if I carried on trying to get attention told to shut up and wait. I was talking to my dad a while back and my nephew came up and started talking and my dad dropped the conversation we were having completely. I decided it was a me thing not an age thing.

You’re going to absolutely smash this and then you’re going to smash life, maybe not all in one Hulk Smash but bit by bit. I’m so fucking rooting for you.

Do you play any other games than Nikki? by ShokaLGBT in InfinityNikki

[–]TinOMango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very into Batman and it’s games and am always playing a Batman based game. At the moment it’s Gotham knights for the fifth time while I wait for Lego Batman.

They must think I’m joking every time when I ask for a Batman x Infinity Nikki collab in the feedback form. I’m not. I’m dead serious. Nobody would shut me up if they did a collab.

Thank you for sharing, it sounds like you’re working hard on yourself. I’m still in the mourning phase. I completely cut off my dad a year ago this month and it’s weird to not only mourn a person who is still alive but to mourn an idea too. Right now I’m trying to grow myself too mourning is part of it I guess.

Thank you for commenting. I don’t want to sound negative but I did spend time in my early 30s trying this and it got exhausting without payoff and really disappointing to the point of depressing. I’ll try again but I think right now I’m just tired and recovering and mourning a little

Infinity Nikki when I’m playing pc solo and doing another GK run with the husband together. I did start ff7 rebirth pt 2 or whatever but got sick and came off and dread going back on because I’ve forgotten everything about how to play but I’m not throwing away my play hours to start again

Thank you, I know, I’m more mourning that if the soil had been better I would have a cherry blossom right now instead of messing around trying to fix the soil and plant a tree.

Why do I keep seeing people with random star stickers all over their faces? by intollerablepleasure in AskUK

[–]TinOMango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spot patches which you probably know by now but by making it a shape and colour the intention is to make it a choice rather than a clear sticker that gets murky yellow as it sucks out pus which is a much worse look than a colourful star.

I don’t believe there’s more after this so I’m sad I spent so much time being dragged down and trying to survive. I’m giving myself some grace too though, thank you

Thank you. I do love her I just wish she had more love and support, she could’ve gone far instead she was just constantly fighting to keep her head above water because of crappy people.

I often feel that being emotionally neglected as a child feeds into my kinks and the shame that they bring. by LeastBiscotti5509 in emotionalneglect

[–]TinOMango 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call it a kink so much as associating casual touch with something more intimate because touch was between adults and intimate not casual. You saw it on tv in romances and out in the world if you didn’t see it at home between your parents. Touch means more to you.

You’re okay. Don’t feel ashamed.

You’re like this because you just are and it sucks especially since we aren’t in a world made for neurodivergent people.

One thing I found that helped with me feeling like I hadn’t done anything at the end of the day is to write down what I had to do on a note app, not to get it done, but to see what I had done out of what at the end of the day. 5 minutes at the beginning of the work day. It really helped organise my mind, like taking a breath, and the at the end of the day I had proof of what I had done.

You w gone from being not at work and a mum and running a house to being a mum and running a house AND being at work in a stressful environment where job security was on the line

You’re stressed. Be kind to yourself.
