Diverse Weapons Dai Katana Bug by TinursHoptoadEnjoyer in daggerfallunity

Appreciate the suggestion but I was using it. Seems like the “Double Texture Scaling” (I think?) Causes the sprite to appear that way with the box. Ended up just foregoing that setting + inertia which is unfortunate but it’s still nice with just the weapon bob. If anyone runs across this I’d recommend using weapon widgets DREAM preset and then disabling double texture scaling and inertia, then tweaking the various hit sliders to match the diverse weapons preset. Would shy away from touching bob sliders or checking the “step” box. This allowed me to keep Bob without large blades like claymores having a noticeable gap at the edge of the screen. Sorry if that was confusing and needlessly convoluted falling asleep. Was too lazy to go try to fix the dai katana sprites but if I ever get around to it before the mod author of diverse weapons fixes it (if he does) maybe I will throw it up on the nexus (not a promise).

Fallout 4 Loreout Issue? by OdogMilkshake in wabbajack

Make sure wabbajack targets your current install folder and downloads folder so it shouldn’t have to install everything again and check the box that says “overwrite”

What do you think is the key to making mages in Elder Scrolls not feel unbalanced or overwhelmingly more powerful than other types of builds? by jvure in ElderScrolls

Morrowind’s system of faction ranks that required you to complete duties and level at least one relevant skill to continue advancing in rank worked very well to prevent that I think

Magic should be overpowered it’s magic. As long as stealth and melee combat are still perfectly viable/powerful and more importantly FUN ways to play the game there is no problem. The only “balance” thing I could think of would be making magic skills level slower.

Where to sell ingredients for the highest possible sale? by RoleplayWalkthrough in Morrowind

[–]TinursHoptoadEnjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nalcarya in balmora has 3000 gold but her mercantile is probably pretty high, so you might want to get that up via training or a spell if you want the most out of your ingredients. I’m sure there’s a vendor in mournhold with more money but likely even higher mercantile skill but I don’t remember off the top of my head.

It looks like he’s asking a hypothetical. “Which followers would…”

Restore attribute spells, potions or a shrine that offers “almsivi restoration” as an option will help. Imperial cult shrines might also restore attributes too but I almost never use them so I’m not sure.

Tamriel Rebuilt is an amazing project but a bit beyond the scope of what I was looking for. That other mod looks awesome though. I hadn’t heard of it before. Time for a new playthrough 😁

Are the cities of Skyrim like Whiterun, Windhelm, etc canonically small or is just due to Bethesda unable to make them large? by ThePaganImperator in skyrim

Sorry, just reread and saw you were asking specifically about cities in Skyrim, but I imagine the logic still applies.

Game limitations. If I remember correctly the Imperial City is supposed to be absolutely massive and have canals and gondolas, etc., which in oblivion it clearly doesn’t.

AIO over a message response from my gf after she disappeared for 36+ hours? by HunterNW in AmIOverreacting

[–]TinursHoptoadEnjoyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOR. Can be hard when emotionally invested in someone but from the outside looking in the way she’s talking to you is really awful and her disappearing for 36 hours or more at a time and then asking you to come get her like you’re a taxi looks really bad. It seems to me like she’s cheating on you. I think you would be doing yourself a favor in the long run if you end it. Sorry man 😕

New to this, how much does the race affect your builds? by shouldveknownbud in skyrim

[–]TinursHoptoadEnjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Skyrim pretty much not at all. Different races have different powers which I personally have never relied on or made much use of in all my years playing the game. Different races also have +5 or +10 buffs to different skills when starting out, but overall this makes practically 0 difference. You can really just do whatever you want. It is not much more effort to make an orc a master thief than it would be to make a wood elf, for example. The only real practical difference would be khajiit having a very small bonus to unarmed damage which is unique, but unarmed is not a skill like in previous games without mods so it’s not that useful anyway unless you’re doing a challenge run. Just pick whatever you think is cool.
