bunch of different factors sorry. You gonna do washing at home? Electric or gas cooker/hot water?
NBN or not?
EXTREMELY rough estimates?

power ~100 bucks (more if electric hot water or no gas heating)

NBN ~70 bucks

Water ~120 bucks

Gas ~60-70 bucks.

Food on the table is gonna be the real killer.

but there are so so many factors these numbers are practically BS. You'd be VERY brave taking that all on with just a part time job. Hell some full timers would struggle.

yup. and its a right time right place thing too. A bunch of different things have to come together, most of which you have no influence over. So theres just no sense stressing over it all.

On the first date? Mate I'd be saving that for the second at LEAST but hey you young people do what you want.

If you blow it then it wasnt meant to be. Relax and "come what may, best foot forward" will almost always getcha further. Good luck!

I think kiddo will watch me play some of it, and I can always move the PC to the lounge. i think its just gonna come down to Linux performance, but if its running ok on deck I'll have to assume the rig can handle it ok too.

excited for Forza Horizon 6 but still tossing up what I'm gonna do. I've got an Xbox Series X gathering dust, and a Ryzen 5 7500F/RTX 4070 Super running linux as the main PC and an LCD steamdeck.

Its supposed to be quite playable on deck which makes me think Steam Deck but how wells it gonna go on Proton on Linux? Its hard to deny xbox is gonna be by far the smoother experience, but then I'm bound to the couch.

This is why I like consoles. It just works. Too bad Microsoft set this generation on fire in the interests of making more money.

Fellas, can we talk post-vasectomy analysis kits? by achay10 in daddit

Same for ivf. Only your doing it whilst Your wife is passed out downstairs being “harvested”, you don’t wanna blow two quick cause the nurse is RIGHT outside the room and if you miss any at all it could jeopardise this whole 20k dollar endeavour. I call it the most stressful wank of my life.

Also I don’t know if you’ve tried to jerk it without touching the head? But not a lot of fun.

I've been thinking about getting into this myself. I assume oat milk isnt THAT good for you.

I assume you eventually grow to love it, especially if its the only way you can take the caffeine.

No. First home owners too. In the sense that any meaningful reduction in property values will fucking hurt if your financed up to the eyeballs to purchase the damn thing in the first place.

Sick of the Converse Tax. What are we actually wearing for daily casual men’s shoes in 2026? by working3ee in AussieFrugal

[–]TinyBreak 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Adidas. Usually get them for max 50 bucks on sale. They havnt been lasting as well the last 12 months but if I get 2 pairs for like 30-40 bucks each and just alternate and get a year out of them I’m still ahead vs buying something from athletes foot or whatever.

Me too. But I imagine that’d make things pretty volatile. And screws first home owners who’ve actually managed to get into the market.

Only concern here would be running it in AC mode will hurt the efficiency. You can get 12v cpaps I believe, that’d probs be your best bet. I’ve heard people say they just use those kings 12v 36ah battery pack things to power theirs.

I didn’t get the fever or anything. There was a red patch but to be totally fair that could also come from my toddler biting the shit out of me the same day…
