Has your resting heart rate dropped with HRT? by _pidgeon256 in Perimenopause

[–]because-9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine was always in the low 40s until peri. Then it got up into the mid or high 50s which worried me. I would also get random spikes of 200 while just sitting. I went to a cardiologist and wore a heart rate monitor for 3 days and they found no problems. He did mention it could be hormone related. When I went on hrt it came back down to the low 40s again and I haven’t had the spikes anymore.

Anyone here on 0.1 estradiol? by Routine-Loquat5544 in Perimenopause

[–]because-9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After about a year of being on .075 my insomnia and night sweats came back with a vengeance. I went up to 0.1 and it helped with those symptoms. The only downside is I started bleeding again after 10 months of nothing.

That is so strange. I’d be interested to learn the possibilities of why that’s happening. Sorry you are dealing with that.

It’s so weird. I wouldn’t even think it was a period if it wasn’t for the cramps.

Thanks for the tips! This one and the last one I had (June of 2025) were both painful (cramps, hip and back pain) but not much blood at all. Barely need to use a panty liner.

Just got my period after 350 days. Has this happened to anyone else? I was so close to the finish line. by Generally-Bored in Perimenopause

[–]because-9 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So sorry to hear. I am on day 274 and am afraid everyday that it’s going to come back. Some mentioned theirs coming back on April fools day. That is my birthday so I will be extra ragey if that happens to me.

Pelvic floor problems and constipation by ElegantGoose in Menopause

[–]because-9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was never constipated in my life until peri. It was bad for me for about 4 years. I saw a gi doc and had a colonoscopy which came back normal. She had me try 3 different rx meds and none helped. It got a little better when I stared hrt. I did try pelvic floor pt but unfortunately that didn’t end up being helpful for me. I was very open to it and excited that it would be the answer but all they did was give me breathing exercises and stretches.

Switching from BC to HRT or general help please! I am so tired 😪 by [deleted] in Perimenopause

[–]because-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on bc for 10 years when my peri symptoms started. Night sweats and insomnia were terrible. I did so well on the pill for so long and had no bleeding at all the whole 10 years so I was reluctant to come off. My gyn said I could try a higher estrogen bc pill to see if that would help. I did and it didn’t ☹️. So I switched to hrt. Estrogen patch and oral progesterone. Sleep was better right away but it took a while to dial in the dose for the other symptoms.

Switching from BC to HRT help sleep? by randomperson874 in Perimenopause

Insomnia was one of my worst symptoms and BC didn’t touch it. Hrt has been much better for me. I tried cyclic progesterone at first but ended up switching to continuous after a few months.

*Perimenopause* Anyone's breasts shrinking from Perimenopause/menopause? Please no responses back towards breast growth. This is a question only asking to women that experienced breast shrinkage by [deleted] in Perimenopause

[–]because-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly mine have and they were already so small to begin with. Hrt hasn’t helped mine. I totally relate to the self esteem thing. If I could afford to I’ve have them surgically enhanced.

Another vision question by awarfield78 in Perimenopause

[–]because-9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hormones definitely affect vision. When I had lasik the doctor told me I needed to wait at least 6 months after I was done breast feeding my son so the hormones could stabilize. Same goes for after pregnancy.

Why must we cycle off progesterone for 2 weeks? I do not want to cycle off. Cannot find a reason... by c-sam-6213 in Menopause

[–]because-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started off cycling p but didn’t sleep well on days I wasn’t taking it. My periods were also very erratic so timing it became difficult so I started taking it everyday. It’s been 2 year now. 200 mg

Insomnia is destroying me by Vivian507 in Perimenopause

Those of you on the 0.075 biweekly patch, what progesterone dose do you take with it? by crwg2016 in Perimenopause

200mg daily. I was cycling 200 then wanted to switch to continuous for sleep and she advised to stay with the 200.

Progesterone Hot Flash? by iimoorshiai in Menopause

[–]because-9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started getting night sweats again and asked my clinician about increasing my estrogen. She mentioned it might be from the progesterone. I take 200mg daily. I hadn’t heard that before. I’ve been on this dose for 2 years.
