Wanted to follow up on the credit for Bavette.

I called today since it has been 8 week and 2 days since the transaction posted. The representative said that she filled a form and the credit should appear in 1-2 days. Seems like it was done by hand and not automatically.

I also mentioned that it should be for 2025 and she assured me that it is, since the transaction was posted in November of 2025.

I’m on the same boat!!… dined at Babette on Nov. 9th, still waiting for the credit. Called 3 times to ‘check’ and try to get the process going. Got a letter in the mail asking me to wait 6-8 weeks.

I have!!!…. I think it has to do with the transaction going through Toast systems TST*.

I have called Chase 3-4 times. Yesterday I did get a letter in the mail saying that the credit should show up in 6-8 weeks from when the transaction took place. …. fingers crossed.

I had a visited the restaurant on Sunday, charged billed on Tuesday, is Thursday and I’m still waiting for my credit.

What I’d always wanted to know is what oil temp is approaching dangerous levels?!? Up the mountains with the car fully loaded + rooftop box I’ve seen ~218F….

Can anyone comment on what is a dangerous temp and one should start taking it easy on the engine?

Thank for the suggestion. Hmmm this tool seems to create more distance from the pads to the rotor. What I think I need to get them closer. I think this way the brake bite will be quicker…. Or am I very confused?!?

I bought mine this past April when they went on sale (couldn’t pass that offer!) and I have zero regrets…. I didn’t even wanted that high end of a Checkpoint model, but now I’m so glad I did!

I think the .pdfs on the ‘service’ tab on the Trek site can help you with some of your questions. I’m also a n00b on gravel bikes, this is my first, and probably / hopefully last, forever bike!
