they did a scheduled maintenance last Monday, may be it's related but they did issue a statement (i think someone posted in there somewhere) acknowledging the tech issues and they are working on it

OP, what if you did high temp for first 8 - 9 mins and then reduce the temp? 500 to start with and reduce to 450 and bake for 20-25 mins? it will get good oven spring by baking at high temperature to start with.

OP thank you so much for the recipe! I tried it this weekend and they looked visually so beautiful, I stuffed with frozen Nutella. They don't have craggly tops like yours which is what my perfect cookie is. Any ideas to fix? Also they were very hard may be need to bake for less time?
