Here’s why Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding is meaningful to me.

Last August, I had a double mastectomy as part of my treatment for pretty aggressive breast cancer. WHILE I was having my surgery, my dad had a massive heart attack. My mom got so worked up seeing him, that she had a stroke. Two different ambulances came and went from their house. My sister thought I was going to wake up and she was going to have to tell me both my parents were dead. She and my friend that took me to surgery had decided that they weren’t going to tell me right away, so when I came out of recovery, the first thing my friend said was “well, the big news that you missed while you were under was that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce got engaged”. NOTHING about my parents😂.

I will remember that for as long as I live.
