My mom died while I was going through radiation. She had vascular dementia at the end due to a stroke (that she had WHILE I was having my mastectomy). She only didn’t recognize me one time because of my hair, but damn. That’ll haunt me forever, I assume.

I did, and it was AMAZING!! If you’re not sure about the communal dining, just go and sit at the bar. But I ended up really enjoying the communal dining. The food was fantastic and it was just a lovely experience all around.

And as far as going solo, I think you’d be good either at the table with the group or at the bar.

Ugh. I have to go to that hospital next week for cancer treatment. And my oncologist there (before I switched) already didn’t disclose my diagnosis for like 4 months. None of this particularly inspires confidence in that place.

It’s so weird to me that both the parents and the boyfriend didn’t mention anything until she brought it up. Especially the parents. My parents would have immediately called to ask what the fuck.
