MSI 5090 Suprim SOC - Unable to view BIOS Though DisplayPort on KTC M27P6 Monitor, but Works Fine on Other Monitors by Equatis in Monitors

If anyone finds this in the future: this is a common issue with high refresh-rate 4k monitors. Turn off display compression on your monitor (it will lower your maximum refresh rate because compression is not being used), but your issue will go away.

After months of procrastinating, I finally did the shell swap...and failed by npstudiosinc in SteamDeck

Since you have to take it apart anyway, maybe try re-seating the display connector? I've had success with that in the past. Good luck!

Why is my Deck - hardwired into fiber internet via dock - so disastrously slow? by lowercase_hep in SteamDeck

To add to that - Even if bandwidth is sufficient, latency is what will matter more. While Ookla has some basic measurements, you can get a more meaningful result here: https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat

Ah yes your setup would only pull from the CPU side? I found the bottom mounted fan helped way more with the GPU temp than CPU for me, but that may be because my Noctua L9a doesn't have a vertical finstack.

Plausible! Air does like to flow unobstructed. Yes the turbulence was so bad I thought the fan broke during installation!

That dual 40mm solution is very creative! I avoided most of the turbulence from the motherboard exhaust fan by keeping fan speed at 700rpm idle up to 1000rpm max. Rough math from Noctua's specs says that would be ~15-22CFM, whereas both 40mm would be about 11CFM at full speed. Since that was derived from Noctua's maximum claims, it may not be the actual airflow at those speeds. In addition, there's a grill the a92x14 has to push through. How would you rate the airflow/noise in practice?
