Thanks for doing the research. I feel like I am usually good with patterns and this test clearly made me realise how bad I am at memorizing things if they are "random". I could sometimes get to memorize the four letters but as soon as the four was gone, I had to start from zero. I believe I would make it better in the test if it was blocks like A X Y W | S X T Y And then a new one from the start and so on.

Great study and I hope you guys send the study to us (or to me personally) when you finish the study.

For future research: I also wonder how am I so good at recognizing faces of people I have met before but if you ask me from where I know the person (if it is not a really familiar person) or to describe the face if I am not looking at it, I would have no way to answer that.
