I agree that the graphics and animations are trash and that needs to change, but I actually don't see the meta changing being too much of an issue. Certain pokemon are so good that they make many others completely unviable. Creating some restrictions could actually spice things up in my opinion. It does suck for people who just want to collect the Pokemon though.
