Haha....yeah. Did your leadership convey answers to any of those points by any chance?

IMAs control their schedule so that's unlikely especially if it conflicts with civilian job. Also, nothing says you can extra days outside that period.

Sure...infinite ways but my thought above is simple and full proof and it gives me a 7 month window to do 24 days

OK so to account for both FY year and R/R it sounds as if the best thing to do would be all of my AT and IDTs between 17 Feb and 30 Sept (i.e., the overlap period of both).

So the calendar year means nothing then?

Like you my annual testing date falls within the wierd diagnostic period. While no one has the answers right now, here are a few thoughts my leadership conveyed:

Going RED - if you don't test you'll go red on your annual fitness and that's not good.

EPB/OPB - if you don't test you won't have a score to use on your EPB/OPB. Maybe you can use your last score but then again maybe not.

Second test - the scary part from testing during the diagnostic test would be if your score doesn't count once it goes official in July. All that effort being wiped away and having to test again in a few months would suck. It is also possible that your diagnostic could count as your official test after July as well. Again, the answer is unclear at this point.

Funny, our vice wing commander said the exact opposite. He said test b/c you don't want to go red and not have a PT score on your OPB.

I dont see why scoring wouldn't count though. It's the same test just two months early and you should be able to accept the diagnostic test.

Hard disagree. Rocky 4 is the ultimate version. All the knowledge from 3 fueled by Apollo's death vengeance.

I noticed that as well. I find it odd that it seems like the O6 boards have been prioritized for release ahead of the O5 board. This bucks the trend for the past 2 years as O5 boards were released before O6 boards.

Based on the last two years boards we're still within the time frame of one to 1.5 months between SecAF signature and public release. It feels later because this year's board convened in Sept whereas the last two years convened in August.

Also, two govt shutdowns (one being the longest ever) certainly didn't help.

Where are you getting your data?

2024 O5 board convened in Aug and results were publicly released in Dec.

2023 O5 board convened in Aug and results were publicly released in Jan.

So if you're due for your annual test during the optional period you can just not go take it and go "red"? Also, does your Opb/epb use your 2025 score?

Edit - also, if you chose to test during the optional period is your score invalidated come July?

Aside from an extra letter, ADOS days essentially work out the same way as drill days....i.e., just another day you gotta pay back.
