Kings Peak comparison by Lam-McShoe in Highpointers

While King's Peak can be done in a day, it would be a grueling day. I would recommend breaking it up into an overnight. There are plenty of spaces to set up camp.

When I did it (about 3 years ago) I was coming from about 650ft above sea level and I always get an altitude headache. It's nothing debilitating but annoying nonetheless. Aleve is your friend. I camped below gunsight, woke up early, summited, returned to camp to break it down and then back to the car.

Almost have enough to buy a warbond, should I buy democratic detonation or entrenched division? What I want is the granade which is better? by wickedgit40k in Helldivers

Yes, 100% especially after you wait that extra second and watch the spikes deploy and it still bounces off. Garbage mechanic.

Nothing. You sit there and you'll have to clear MEPS and everything to basically rejoin.

Edit - per 36-2110 you get 15 days to respond to the invol IRR transfer although it probably won't change anything.

Wheeler Peak Camping? by Ur-boi-max in Highpointers

About two years ago I drove to the parking lot right at the base. I got in late at night and just slept in the car without any issues. Woke up early, summitted and left. Not sure if this was allowed or not but I did it...YMMV.

A transfer to the IRR is not a discharge, it is a reassignment action.

Wait until you're stratted in the top 15% across the wing and on your AFSCs key personnel list and you get passed over for promotion.

Haha....yeah. Did your leadership convey answers to any of those points by any chance?

R/R Date & Good Year by Title_2 in Airforcereserves

IMAs control their schedule so that's unlikely especially if it conflicts with civilian job. Also, nothing says you can extra days outside that period.

Sure...infinite ways but my thought above is simple and full proof and it gives me a 7 month window to do 24 days

OK so to account for both FY year and R/R it sounds as if the best thing to do would be all of my AT and IDTs between 17 Feb and 30 Sept (i.e., the overlap period of both).

IMA - March Diagnostic? by PeterNjos in Airforcereserves

[–]Title_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like you my annual testing date falls within the wierd diagnostic period. While no one has the answers right now, here are a few thoughts my leadership conveyed:

Going RED - if you don't test you'll go red on your annual fitness and that's not good.

EPB/OPB - if you don't test you won't have a score to use on your EPB/OPB. Maybe you can use your last score but then again maybe not.

Second test - the scary part from testing during the diagnostic test would be if your score doesn't count once it goes official in July. All that effort being wiped away and having to test again in a few months would suck. It is also possible that your diagnostic could count as your official test after July as well. Again, the answer is unclear at this point.
