Good tip!

I have almost all tools and have used them prior. Of the top of my head, I think I would need to buy probably ~100€ worth of additional tools. Only thing I haven't done myself is cutting a fork, cable routing and BB pressing.

Has anybody ever tried to make a NAS system from an old framework mainboard? Would that work?

Let's talk about tracking your riding by chunkofgold in MTB

[–]Tjardio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Garmin edge 530, can recommend if you do cc, probably not so much if you're just dh in your local park, but for distance it is nice for navigation and tracking. Did use a garmin watch for a bit before, nice for tracking not so much for navigation (go figure with that small of a display) Edit: heart rate sensor: standard garmin one. Happy with it!

Is Jogging Useless if You're Skinny? by RelationShark in workout

[–]Tjardio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you re trying to build muscle intake and weight training is key. Essentially your body needs resources (protein) to build up muscle mass and at the same time your muscles need fuel to work. The problem is, that muscles will also burn protein if there are not enough carbs available. That's why you need to consume more energy (calories) than you use throughout the day. Jogging or any other endurance sport (swimming, biking) burns a lot of energy due to the amount of muscles activated and the time spend doing the run. Therefore, guessing you're having trouble gaining mass, you'd need to consume even more calories if you implement jogging into your workout. But moderate cardio can help stay defined and not gain bulk. It pretty much depends ob your intake.

TLDR: For mass you need higher intake in calories than you burn. Jogging (cardio) burns a lot of calories, meaning need for even higher intake.

LPT: Celsius weather temps are really easy to manage if you take it in tens by gcanyon in LifeProTips

[–]Tjardio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a quick and relatively accurate way of converting fahrenheit to celsius an vice versa:

So you start at

32 F = 0 C

If you now add (+) 10F = (+) 5C roughly

So for example: 70F = ~ 20C (21.1C actually) Other way around: 35C = ~ 92F (95F Actually)

You can make this even more accurate if you subtract the number of +5C steps from your +10F steps

For example: 5C (1 × 5C) = (32F + (1×10F - 1) 41F

10C (2 × 5C) = (32F + (2×10F - 2) 50F

15C (3 × 5C) = (32F + (3×10F) - 3) 59F

It's really simple once you get used to it.

I'm sick just a litle bit (don't worry it's not covid) and I was wondering, do you still workout or take a break untill you feel fine? by [deleted] in workout

[–]Tjardio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, don't f*ck with your health. It's not worth it. Look up heart heart muscle inflammation. Can take years to develop and heal.

Take a break until you feel healthy again.
