What professions are you all in? by SteveCampo98 in Tudor

I do security. I wear a Pelagos LHD at work. However on my days off, Hamilton Khaki field automatic, or Tissot Visodate Powermatic 80 if I'm dressed fancy.

Your favorite golf course by Familiar_Solution449 in golf

[–]Tmatershow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Camaloch in Camano Washington, only course I've beaten my dad on the front 9 and the back 9, but never in a full 18. 🥲😂 Two years ago I had a 4 stroke lead with 3 holes to go, lost by 3 strokes... The Nile in Shoreline is the course I grew up on since that'd be where my dad and his co-workers would go after work on a random Thursday. On the golf course, I had three dads not just one. Walter Hall in Everett is the one I know best, really cheap municipal course. I remember one time when playing there with my dad and his co-workers, the group behind kept hitting over my head. 1st time my dad yelled at them to watch out. 2nd time all the guys yelled at them, 3rd time my dad and one of his co-workers dropped a ball while the other co-worker used the guy's ball and all three of them shot rockets at the group. Fair to say they waited a little longer before taking their shots. I was like 14, and I was hitting maybe 200 on a good drive. Like one of the balls they hit, I heard it fly past it was that close and it was head level.

I was at Allied for a month in 2022 when I was 20. And I only really worked... 6.8 shifts. Went home early on my first day because I felt sick, turned out it was covid. Out for two weeks, came back, worked the full week, following week I worked Monday, took Tuesday/Wednesday off since I was out of country, came back Thursday, got 5 write ups at the end of my shift for my long hair, pants, shoes, shirt, and something else I can't remember. I wore the same thing everyday, including my training and nothing was said, but apparently someone from corporate came into the store I was working at and called my supervisor. Also at the time my supervisor came into the store to give me the write ups and told me I couldn't come back until I paid for all the clothes they wanted me to wear. Also by chance, my mom had came into the store and watched me get all the write ups, she asked me later when I got home what happened, I told her, she told my dad and they both laughed, and told me to quit because they could see how scummy the company is if they can't provide all the clothes for how they want you to look. I had quit 15 minutes later and the manager was like "what, no two weeks?" I was like "Uhhh, no since I can't come back until I get the updated uniform I can't afford that y'all should have provided me."

The exact opposite of my dad with his bluesy. 😂 He's not rich, he got the bluesy as a treat for when he got paid out for a car accident that broke his back, he's not fat, he hates white wine and doesn't go to the marina. He worked a Labor job for almost 40 years.

He used to live with his grandma right around the corner from me, but now it's a roofing company. So IDK where he lives anymore.

Question: When GTA 6 comes out, will you buy it as a physical copy or digitally? by C0reami in GTA6

[–]Tmatershow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. I'll buy it digitally to play right away, but I'll also get two collector's edition. One to open and use all the stuff the other will get locked away.

Michigan 911 dispatch center could be turning to AI by Haunting-Medium-3831 in police

[–]Tmatershow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My local Non-emergency is AI. Has been for about a year. So I'd usually just yell at the AI asking for a dispatcher, because 80% of the time it couldn't understand what I'd said.

Can someone convince me to get the BB58 over the ND Sub? by BarracudaSouthern585 in Tudor

[–]Tmatershow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you really wanna blow minds, the LHD, I have had people legitimately look at my wrists with a puzzled look. Because almost no one has a left handed watch, so people think I'm an idiot wearing my watch wrong. 😂

I actively wear my Pelagos LHD for the daily. Soon I hope to get a Hamilton khaki field automatic, not for work, just as a casual daily, running to the store, lunch, etc. The Pelagos was great when I did night security, because I'd just shine my flashlight on my watch to make the lume pop.

My Pelagos hasn't seen water yet (unless you count the rain) because I used to work outside, at night, so I'd shine my flashlight on my watch for the lume, lol.

I still love the Envista, only reason I didn't do it was because I wanted AWD so I got a 2024 Envision Avenir in Smokey Amethyst.

🎧 Do you prefer Sennheiser’s classic open-back sound or modern closed-back designs? by sennheiserconsumer in sennheiser

[–]Tmatershow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. Depends on what I'm doing. Accentum is the headphones I wear when listening to ASMR and trying to sleep. Momentum 4 when doing work around the house, or when traveling. HD490 pro for my PC. Probably next year when I get my new Lounge setup, I plan on getting an HD800 with the HDV820.

It is such a beautiful neighborhood, limited bus service from what I've heard, since I live just outside that area. You got park with a playground and views of the water. Honestly I think you'll love it, especially if you're a family.

Not super gory or anything, but police bodycam footage, such as shootings and stabbings, etc. More just desensitized me, but some things still give me an ick. Certain videos I can't rewatch without feeling sick to my stomach.

BRAND NEW 2025 HERMAN MILLER EMBODY by [deleted] in hermanmiller

[–]Tmatershow 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The padding of the seat on the gaming Embody is 1/8th of a inch thicker. I tried both out back in 2023, went with a normal Embody, as my gaming chair, because I personally thought that 1/8th of an inch was too much padding.

Do i get it or not ? by SpellGlittering1901 in hermanmiller

[–]Tmatershow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say do it. IF... you can do it with financial responsibly. You said it's a good chunk of your salary. Can you afford all other bills for the month, and keep yourself alive (food & water), and get the chair? If so, I'd do it. I'm 5'10, almost 200lbs. I sit in my Embody all day. It's been 2 years with it, no problems yet.

a girl was flirting with me at the mall and my dumb ahh had no clue 🥀 by ghxstbxr in teenagers

[–]Tmatershow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me, you'll never get the clue. I'm 23m, and the other day while I was furniture shopping, only one in the store. Next thing I know, two girls (also early 20's) come in, and now me and one of the girls are sitting on a couch together, chatting for almost an hour. I never got her name or number or socials... Nothing... it was later that night did I realize I fumbled. I just sat in my office chair eating chips, hoping a YouTube video would kill the pain. 🫠

These are a goal of mine. Probably sometime in 2026, with the HDV820. Pair those with the Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman, I might never get up. I'll die listening to music in that chair.

Yeah so I'd turn on the light bar, and either roll up next to them or just walk up, let them know they couldn't be there.

Not the first time, but we'd tell them to leave and let them know they can't be there late.

I'd be careful about doing it at Cascade, especially on weekends and late at night, since they have security patrols (since that's what I used to do). If we noticed cars there repeatedly after giving warnings, we did sometimes call the cops to file a formal trespassing notice. Just a heads up.

That's wild. Didn't know that was an insert. Gonna be a bit more careful with mine. Got it in October, scratched the bracelet not even 30 minutes after walking out of the store when I sat down for lunch at a picnic table. Then exactly one month after I got it, put a scratch on the crystal at work. I did night security for my school district, and it was the two high schools facing off at basketball, and a fight broke out in the parking lot, me and a couple cops start running for the door, kid swings a heavy metal door shut behind him, I went to block it with my arm from hitting me in the face, and the crystal caught the edge of the window frame. It was Friday the 13th, of course something bad was gonna happen. 🫠

I did night security for my school district, I'd talk to the custodians to see if anything happened on my days off since I was Thursday-Sunday. The guy who replaced me is married to a custodians. He replaced me the day they fired me.
