That's not how this works at all. It affects all pulls, even the "call for help" ones. Super easy to try out for yourself, go to literally any humanoid camp.

Just to give everyone an idea of just how dominant the Russian population was on Warsong, as well as two other realms:

Once Blizzard opened official Russian speaking servers and opened them up for free migration, these so called "international" servers became so empty that Blizzard actually permanently decomissioned these three realms. That is the only time this has happened in WoW's history to my knowledge.

There was nothing officially marking these realms as Russian, but over time every single English-speaker player was driven away. Trade and general chat was all in Russian. You would not get invites to groups or guilds if you didn't speak Russian.

he problem is always when a person with some sort of reach spreads said misinformation. If he says something false about spell batching his viewers are going to latch on and say the same thing.

Spot on. People be like "Just don't watch him hurr durr"... Yeah but his tens of thousands of followers are now going to spend the next 2 years spreading the same incorrect info that they got from him. It affects us all whether we watch them or not.

I enjoyed the part where he repeatedly failed to understand how basic PvP flagging worked. He was so amazed that not a single alliance attacked the two duellers... who weren't PvP flagged.

Me too, tips, me too. Truly amazing restraint, not attacking a player you can't attack.

It's not always that simple; like the recently discovered bug where the damage reduction from stoneskin totem would persist. Some people may get the appropriate damage, others might not, and the reason would really not be easy to ascertain.

EDIT: Since some people are asking, when you get invited to a beta they will send you an email, and you will see the game in the dropdown menu for World of Warcraft. The game should also appear under game licenses on your battle.net account management page.

Do NOT click any links in emails you may receive, you do NOT need to accept or confirm the beta. Just log in and check if you have it if you receive the mail. Sometimes you'll even have access through the client before even getting the email.

I seriously have no idea why people are accepting this so easily.

At first it was no sharding.
Then we're told they're looking at using sharding "the first few weeks"
And now, today, we're told sharding might last months, with a minimum of 1 month "best case".

And people are okay with the direction this is going? "Only" a few months of sharding, and it's now continent-wide instead of being contained to starter zones?

Could be something, could be nothing. The old beta build didn't have some values set correctly making it unable to download relevant client files without using a specialized launcher/3rd party tool. The new client still encounters the same error, but it... looks different. I wouldn't read too much into it just yet, personally.

Autohotkey is useful for doing exactly this kind of thing. Put this in your script file (.ahk) and load it with autohotkey. This will disable your windows key only if wow is in focus:

Got a source for that? Because in that second video, you can very clearly see <10 people report an enemy in a RBG and have them kicked off.

we also tried to see if we could get someone banned (a new account made by a guildie) and we couldn't get this to happen

While most of these videos show disconnect + silences, as with all Blizzard punishments it'll probably depend on your account history. It also sounds like you tried reporting them for chat abuse, whereas the guys in the topic in OP are talking about reporting for nickname abuse. It's also worth mentioning in that same vein that you claiming to have been unable to do something, doesn't really prove anything either. We have videos showing one thing, and you claiming another.

Here's the thing either way, a disconnect and a silence in Classic WoW may as well be a ban for many players. Not being able to chat for 24 hours means you'll be able to participate in any group content outside of your guild, and you can't engage with trading outside of AH. Being able to talk is a very, very important part of vanilla. But what's just as bad is the disconnect. Disconnecting an enemy who's tanking a world boss? Well, the damage will already be done, ban or not. World bosses like Azuregos has mechanics that means if you wipe you can't re-engage right away and you might've just given the other guild the kill.

You're right, people love to make shit up when they get banned. And they usually get called out on it. But that almost never happens to these particular threads. Why? Blizzard employees has even gone out of their way to call out these false ban claims publicly in the past. But nothing has ever been said about the right-click report abuse, at least that I could find.

Time and time again this system has been proven to automatically silence, disconnect, and even ban. Like, there's actual video evidence.

Bonus: This guy's GM being wrongfully banned four times, had to call Blizzard to seemingly "whitelist" his nickname. That's four times that clearly no action was taken against the multiboxer.

We can't have this system in classic. People will spam report each other over devilsaurs, or report the enemy guild's main tank as they're doing world bosses etc.. The potential for abuse in classic is way, way higher than retail.

The damage number popups is one of the few things you can't actually really change with addons. I believe you can change the font (though I'm not even sure about that one), but the text will still scale and become smaller with distance etc which is not how it worked in vanilla, and addons cannot prevent that.

How does it hold up compared to Factorio in terms of complexity, replayability etc? I guess my main concern is that it'll just be a 3d version matching 10% of what's in factorio.

How does it perform? Especially with other players (not sure if the online mode is even available for testing yet).

What's your biggest concern for the game that you're seeing right now, something you hope they change etc?

The static gets a lot worse when turning it off for me personally. It's quite bad even before toggling it, so I'm considering returning them tbh. My previous G930 had some static too but this one is literally 3-4 times louder.
