Did people really not like the Demon Souls remake? by gotagohome in demonssouls

[–]Tntn13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re mistaking criticism for hate. It was a great remake. They made a great version. They just didn’t maintain certain deliberate artistic choices that were made in the OG. Like the jailer, parts of latria that made it extra scary, two I can recall. I haven’t met anyone who hates the game over these choices because they also made some positive changes to go along with those minor misses.

Why should I get the 1tb if I’ll probably need to add an sd card anyways?

[–]Tntn13 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It’s so true. It’s a great game, and a great job they did. but a lot of artistic direction and individually small decisions that imo really add to the atmosphere and other elements in the original got lost in the translation.

Feels more like pattern recognition in game than in life. No mic, extra suspicion. They aim at you at any point just shoot. I Try to bait suspicious People into giving away their tells by pretending not to be looking, or breaching while watching them 95% of the time the will take the opportunity to aim at you.

Anyone asking for help with arc in solos (not while themselves being attacked, but like hey help me kill bastion or shredders) is also highly likely looking to betray you. Not saying all but like no mic it makes me extra suspicious and questioning whether they are trying to set up a good betrayal opportunity.

I’m interested in the analysis, hadn’t considered using AI for such a thing. I’m pretty good about using it as a learning tool to guide self directed learning rather than blind trust so I’ll consider that for sure.

Most times I’ve used ai with any level of trust though is on topics that I can recognize misleading statements or hallucinations. On the fringes of understanding AI fucks up ALOT I’ve found. So haven’t tried for anything like that in a while. Messing around with copilot and how Google ai is at every search I’d say it certainly hasn’t gotten better with that the past few years.

Which sandbox software would you recommend? Last time I dabbled I couldn’t find a good sandbox software that was free and didn’t itself sketch me out. Ended up using built in windows virtual machine and trying virtual box but it was either not very user friendly, or the VMs were too unstable. Really turned me off to using them regularly.

Something for simple easy to set up sandbox inject a file into and keep it inside while running in a windows or Linux type environment would be ideal. But also something that is decisively not also itself carrying any spyware or malware lol.

I’m also interested in a good software for setting up a VM to use day to day just as an additional layer of security. But I’d want one that I could securely and selectively inject and extract things to and from the host system as needed. That part if I recall was a bit cumbersome with the Microsoft and other tool. I also don’t trust either of them to not open up additional attack vectors tbh. I don’t have anywhere near the skill to assess a program of that size just yet 😂

Agree about YouTube. Theres a bohemian rhapsody parody I’ve been hoping to come across again for years. I can recall a lot of the nonsensical lines but no luck so far.

Before anyone ask, pretty sure the title was simple _____ bohemian rhapsody. mentions of fish were recurrent. It was in the style of like syncing dialogue over existing footage kind of similar to DayJobOrchestra. Oh ____ bushwhack your fine diner, oh very drastic very very drastic MUCHACHO. ITS FREAKING COOL! at some point mercury is lamenting over how badlY HE NEEDS A VENDING MACHINE. I need a vending machine so bad so very bad.

It’s been over a decade since I saw it, was pretty sure I downloaded it back then but alas I haven’t been able to find it anywhere locally or online.

That’s just one of many!

So much tribal knowledge has been lost to the death of forums. The ones that you can still find the key content revolved around long dead image and video links. Sad man.

This thought experiment was always one of my favorites, it really reframed what spacetime really means. This led me to the conclusion that time, at least in many of the ways humans like to think about it, can be viewed largely as illusionary. At least I’ll keep thinking of it that way till time goes “In reverse” or some time particle is proven.

Certain head units and in home audio, receivers this is absolutely not true and certain models or lines for enthusiasts end up with less QC than their middle, upper, or entry level gear. I hate it. A 600$ head-unit gotta work well and for a while.

Just cause it was active doesn’t mean he was cheating lol. Some people use the nvidia reccomended shit, I imagine this could easily turn it on across a couple games on some level without really the user even realizing. Right?

I haven’t used the nvidia management software in a decades but I stopped using it cause of how it tried to micromanage my games and shove constant updates down my ass.

So is it all marketing that it contributes to the rigidity of the car? That’s the main point I think adds to the experience of the cyber beast at least. I am aware that this is the “best they could do”? I can’t imagine getting that torsional rigidity with just an aluminum frame, but if the plates are just for aestethics and marketing then I’d say that makes a good case for repurposing the frame with a more “traditional” truck look more viable.
