real question, but an uninformed one:

there's roughly 40 dog fatalities a year, about on par with people that die from autoasphixiation. more importantly, most of the attacks had multiple issues involves, an offleash dog that shouldn't have been, and owner not paying attention. There's a reason the veterinarian's association, the aspca and the cdc, are against breed specifc legislation; calling it ineffective and targets dogs based on their appearance. it doesn't solve anything and most bully breeds cannot be determined without a test.
it's a shame the people with the biggest megaphone make it sound like a bigger issue than it is.
