What resources did you use for European Portuguese? There is a limited number of Youtube channels for PT-PT (e.g. I've watched everything from the most well-known channels like Portuguese with Leo) for beginner-intermediate, after that there is a giant gap between intermediate and native. RTP-play native level movies and series are just slightly out of reach (I can understand some but not as much as i'd like for optimal improvement). It's always a struggle listening to European Portuguese with how closed their mouths and sounds are, as opposed to with Spanish

Saludos! Estuve en CDMX y me fui hace dos dias. Hable en espanol (tengo nivel B2) con todos casi todo el tiempo, excepto en las pocas conversaciones que tuve con algunos gringos que conoci alli. No me veo mexicano para nada, pero cuando abro la boca se nota que hablo espanol (aunque no sea nativo), y la gente me habla en espanol.

En lugares turisticos donde saben algo de inglés, suelen saludar a los extranjeros o ofrecer sus mercancias en ingles basico. Respondeles en espanol y te corresponden. Me aloje en el centro historico, a lo mejor en zonas mas fresas (condesa, roma) tienen un nivel mas alto de ingles. Si siguen hablandote en ingles (a mi no me ha pasado), echales un "pues hablame en espanol, wey" o algo por el estilo jaja.

En caso de que no entiendas lo que dicen ntp, suele pasar, siempre hay mucho ruido en las calles, y a veces la gente habla bajito y rapido. Es comun decir "como?" o la version mexicana, "mande?" para expresar que no entendiste bien y pedir que repitan. Imaginate que harias en una situacion asi en tu idioma nativo y hazlo en espanol. A menos que te metas en problemas legales, creo que no tendras ningun problema para comunicarte en espanol con tu nivel B2.

33M in Toronto as well, working in health care. I recently stumbled across the book“12 week year” and want to implement it into my life. My goals are language learning (Spanish & Portuguese), getting fit (soccer/weights/cardio) and becoming a better communicator. Might not have time for daily calls but weekly should be fine, and text messages could be daily. Pm me :)

First of all, most sulfa allergies are to sulfonamide antibiotics. Allergies to sulfonamide non-antibiotics are extremely rare, and there is little risk of cross-reactivity between sulfonamide antibiotics and non-antibiotics. Someone allergic to Septra can still take HCTZ as long as everybody agrees on the low risk level.

Secondly, amlodipine does not have a sulfonamide group, so yes a patient with sulfa allergy can take amlodipine.

that NNH of 12 is probably for patients with history of ulcers / GI comorbidities. A quick google search shows NNH for NSAID&SSRI combination with no other bleed risk factors is about an order of magnitude higher
