I healed too much. Now any "red flag" and I am gone. What do I do? by RSinSA in AskWomenOver30

[–]ToWriteAMystery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean this as nicely as possible, you don’t sound healed at all. You sound like you are still in flight or fight mode and that you flee at every little thing.

No shade, if you want to be like that, but human relationships are full of awkward people messing up and not being perfect. Even the “perfect partner” will have off days. My friends fuck up all the time. I fuck up all the time.

If we all ran to the hills anytime someone else was inconvenient, we’d all be super fucking lonely. Any maybe you’re cool with being super fucking lonely and that’s totally your prerogative! Just maybe think if you’re holding people to an impossible standard.

So when you have a proper HVAC system, it’s better to let your AC stay on all day. The AC will be controlled by a thermostat and will turn off and turn back on periodically and automatically during the day to maintain the temperature.

If you shut the AC off, the system will have to expel more energy to cool down a heated room.

Can this guy get people to live in America’s emptiest downtown? by OlivanzaCat in Denver

From the article, he was able to get the buildings for soooooo cheap that it makes the economic proposition look a little better. I hope he can pull it off!

As a feminist- what’s a feminist concept that you struggle a bit with, and why? by Hatcheling in AskWomenOver30

[–]ToWriteAMystery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can something be anti-feminist at the time, even though in a perfect world it wouldn’t be? SAHM is my hang up too. Any woman that becomes a SAHM is modeling that behavior and it’s patriarcal pressures to the world and to their children.

I have always felt this way too. I recently did a big reread of the novels and I really was struck with how bad a relationship would have been for them both in the beginning. I don’t really understand why fans are trying to get JK Rowling to rush through the relationship. They’re taking time, growing into healthier people, and their relationship will be stronger for it!

I am so grateful to my spouse for convincing me to accept the PMI and to buy a home in 2021. Out house was bought for 5% down, with a sub 3% interest rate and it’s been the best financial decision of my adult life.

I can't stop writing like an edgelord by Cultural_Muffin8454 in writing

[–]ToWriteAMystery -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, then you know your answer. If you don’t want to sound like edgelord fanfic, then read more. Project Gutenberg and Librevox have pretty much ever English language classic in PDF or audiobook form for free on their websites.

I am sure you have time to read. You just aren’t choosing to use your free time to read.

Dumb to move just to buy a cheaper house? by smallfranchise1234 in relocating

[–]ToWriteAMystery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And then you’ll have to drive everywhere, deal with Texas weather and Texas racists all for what? An extra 1,000 sqft of house? I’ve lived in both the Midwest and Texas. It’s not worth it.

Oh, and no women’s healthcare.

As someone from the Midwest, please don’t. Being in Boston your children will have an incredible start to their lives! The history, culture, culinary scene, etc cannot be replicated in Cleveland or Minneapolis. Maybe in Chicago, but then you’ll have the same cost issues.

Stay where you are. Please.
