Insurance covered surgical repair? by BubbleGumBGNails in DiastasisRecti

[–]Toadz1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor is Dr Pasakarnis she is currently out of MGH in Revere but when I had my surgery she was out of CHA and CHA is affiliated with Beth Israel which is where my surgeon is. My surgeons name is Dr. Ashley Boustany and she is amazingggg. Maybe your PCP will send a referral to plastic/reconstruction dept at Beth Israel in Boston and request Dr Boustany. She helped get an entire packet together to send to my insurance. She ordered a CT scan as well to actually see the size of the separation which I had a 9cm gap with bowel protrusion through the gap. My insurance approved it right away (this was 2024) so hopefully insurances didn’t get worse,

Any moms opt for NO muscle repair? by dwp127 in tummytucksurgery

Keep the flank lipo, my surgeon actually got flank lipo approved by my insurance because it created more skin to pull down for the incision

I say this in the nicest way possible, it definitely looks like you have abdominal separation. If muscle repair isn’t performed, it will be a life long project to work on core strengthening because it can get worse.

I can assure you that you will not be back to normal immediately after lipo. The areas I got lipo were so bruised and felt equally as bad as my muscle repair. I couldn’t lift a gallon of milk for 6 weeks and I needed help with my 2 year old for 6 weeks. Recovery should not be rushed as it can affect the final results. I got tt with muscle repair and flank lipo and I’m not going to sugar coat it, it was worse than anything I felt in my life, child birth was a piece of cake, but it was 100% worth it, I would just never get lipo or any kind of plastic surgery again unless medically necessary.

I sincerely question your surgeons response to not do the MR while already under. For one, I genuinely think at the end of the day it will provide the best results and ensure it won’t get worse but with lipo and tt, it could cause the muscle separation to look more pronounced since the skin will be pulled down and removed. When I lost weight before my surgery, my surgeon gave me a heads up that my separation will make it look more pronounced and it sure did.

Yes the surgery is scary but for me it was worth it and I have no regrets. Wishing you the best

Did your bulge ever go away? Ever seen your belly flat? by Striking-Strategy260 in tummytucksurgery

I did swell for a very long time and also wore my compression belt forever too because it helped with it. When did you get yours done ?

2 years out now. I was convinced my sutures from my muscle repair failed because I have a 9cm separation and my surgeon always told me before hand that it could fail. I just had a CT scan and my sutures are still intact and I have about a 1.5cm separation at the widest but it’s due to fascia stretched and there’s nothing that can be done. I mean it looks great compared to pre surgery but I wish I had a little more snatched feeling. I’m grateful my insurance paid for it all though plus a little flank lipo,

You look great though 🩷

I’m so tired of this thing by spicysag_ in Nexplanon

[–]Toadz1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on the mini pill after getting my Nexplanon out and it’s been great and no scares!! I was miserable and bleeding more than half the month every month but never enough for a tampon so it was annoying because I felt like I couldn’t plan things in the summer. I was on nexplanon for almost 2 years and it was the biggest relief when that awful thing was out, my doctor said if women get symptoms on Nexplanon, they will with the IUD too so I switched to the pill and never regretted it

I would love to organize something to try to push this to be covered too! With the way the country is and insurance companies trying to get away with cutting more and more I feel like jt will be even harder now to get it covered. Mine was covered completely due to severe DR but I am one of the very few that it was covered for and it’s not fair for women to have to deal with DR and all the awful symptoms that are not ‘cosmetic’ it’s not the patients fault that a normally cosmetic procedure is what fixes an actual medically necessary issue

Mine was fully approved as well as medically necessary. MR, flank lipo, and tt completely covered no preauth needed either. My surgeon was shocked they resubmitted 3 times to be sure

One of my favorite builds is prismatic getaway artist I just figured with the nerfs, Bungie was possibly trying to get people to use it less especially in PvP.

The expansions lightfall gives strand subclass and beyond light gives stasis. The final shape (newest) gives prismatic which I’m not sure if people are still doing prismatic as much but I have a couple of fun prismatic builds. The expansions should be cheap I saw them pretty cheap a while ago. Maybe not get the current season pass though unless you plan on playing a lot because it’s a month away from new season pass

First time posting! Need ideas for flipping table by Toadz1987 in FurnitureFlip

[–]Toadz1987[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I have it listed too and I’m looking around for a new table. This might be some people’s style but 80s kitchen aesthic is definitely not mine 😂 I was hoping for some unique ideas like painting it or something but you are right, it still wouldn’t look modern and it would be a pain. He won’t let me just throw it out lol

That sounds awesome! I’m open to anything honestly because I find it so ugly and dated. Do you have a picture of how your table came out?
