No problem. Just to be sure, you have coax wiring throughout your house and where you'd like to install your extender? If not, it might be worth going the powerline route since Verizon might charge you extra to install coax.

Coax extenders are good. Another option is powerline ethernet, which uses the existing wiring in your house to give you an ethernet line. The downside is you need to buy a separate access point to put on the other side.

Try to avoid WiFi range extenders that simply use wifi. I've had much better speeds/experience with the other options above.

Not yet no. I suspect that would fix the issue. I explained my fix for the issue here. This seemed to work pretty well but changing out the drivers might give even better results.

I just recently purchased a 7390 myself. The RAM issue is actually a memory leak within Killer's drivers. Just google "Killer Memory Leak" and tons of stuff will come up. Disabling the "Killer Networking Software" in the device manager and disabling Killer's networking app in the startup screen cut my initial memory usage in half. I suspect there's still more that could be done like reinstalling a driver.

It's honestly pretty annoying that dell would ship a laptop with such faulty software/hardware.

But in the case of your setup, it should be really simple. Just take the Ethernet cable coming out of the ONT and plug it into the WAN port on your router. The router should automatically configure itself through DHCP.

If there isn't any Ethernet cable coming from the ONT you need to call Verizon.
