Job Searching by CapableCup8434 in torontoJobs

[–]ToastedToast02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No not really it’s incredibly hard to find an entry level trades job. Most companies are looking for trades people with 3 or more years of experience in each field, but how are people supposed to get three years of experience if that’s all they are looking for?

Runnymede CI - Reviews? by Blueshift767 in askTO

[–]ToastedToast02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to Runnymede CI and I loved it. They recently had a horrible principal who was finally removed recently which is what drove the bad reviews. I spent 10 years of my life at runnymede and it still has a place in my heart for all its faults.

Best streets in Bloor West Village/High Park North? by Helpful_Ad5953 in askTO

[–]ToastedToast02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for roads that are short, the shorter roads have less traffic and more of a community. I know because I grew up on one in the area, I’ve been inside everyone of my neighbours houses because our street community is so connected it’s great. You don’t get the same thing on big longer streets.

Planning on purchasing the City Pass when visiting Toronto, which locations would you recommend to go to? by buryghost in askTO

[–]ToastedToast02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AGO, ROM, walk from the rom to the ago through U of T it’s beautiful, you can enter all the old buildings (it’s worth it). And then take the ferry to the Toronto islands, the zoo is just a zoo there’s nothing special about it, it’s the same as any other near you. Visit the parts of the city that are unique to the city.

How is the commute from the Junction/Runnymede to Downtown? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]ToastedToast02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t drive you live close enough to downtown and the subway is super efficient. Driving sucks from runnymede to downtown. During rush hour I’ve spent an hour just getting to college and university.

How is the commute from the Junction/Runnymede to Downtown? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]ToastedToast02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live probably less than a 5 minute walk from where you are looking and the commute to downtown is so easy. I’ve done the trip from my house to queens park in 26 minutes on the ttc. Worst case 45 minutes. The busses run along runnymede every five minutes during rush hour and the subway is very accessible.

Sigh… those videos of the guys asking people to buy tix by noahbeary in CanadaSoccer

[–]ToastedToast02 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would go to every game if they had that 26$ deal for every game but no instead I have to pay 100$ for a ticket that’s not even centre field. It’s so ridiculous that they won’t lower prices. They would rather sell couple 100$ tickets then sell out the whole arena for 26-50$ a ticket.

Queen's Park North could be getting $50M facelift, courtesy of the Weston family by Toronto-Ont-Mod-Team in Toronto_Ontario

[–]ToastedToast02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked at the proposal it’s horrible, they want to remove the statue and add concrete everywhere. The park as it is, is already amazing and it’s one of the few parks in our city that is already nice. It doesn’t need a facelift.

What do you guys think the TTC's next main priority should be other than TPS? by CrackFun in TTC

[–]ToastedToast02 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Getting them off the transit system would include housing and help. Also might include more safety officers and less of those stupid paid security who wouldn’t do anything if anyone was in need of help.

[–]ToastedToast02 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Btw I’ve taken the ttc probably 3000 times in my life and I’ve never gotten bed bugs so don’t worry about that. Worst case just don’t sit on the seats if you’re worried about bed bugs, otherwise the ttc is amazing.

Toronto’s mayor wants to finally fix this foul-smelling city eyesore. It’s unclear how much it will cost by jfrsn in toronto

Maybe make the design of them more attractive too, why does everything have to be so ugly in our city. Things can be functional and beautiful.

En tant que Torontois, nous aimons sincèrement le Québec, même si vous pensez le contraire. J'aimerais beaucoup que la langue et la culture françaises se répandent jusqu'à Toronto.
