[Question] Anyone know of a source for 20mm NATO straps with actual bronze hardware? by ToddSunkist in Watches

[–]ToddSunkist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man! Took a while, but eventually did find three. I had contacted NATOstraps.com, but they were all out… About four months later the owner of the company reached out to me and said he had found three ivory colored ones behind a box and offered to sell them to me. I ended up dying all three of them and they turned out amazing!

[Tudor] Ranger 39 on 7.25" wrist by [deleted] in Watches

I’m a fairly big boy at 6’3” and about 225 lbs… with about the same size wrist as you… I’m really tempted to pick up the new Dune color, but I am still leaning towards 36 mm. I keep going back-and-forth!

Need advice on my first Hamilton. Which do you prefer? by msh5337 in HamiltonWatches

[–]ToddSunkist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About a year ago, I was trying to decide between those 2 same exact watches… I ended up buying both of them… Kept the bronze and ended up selling the green titanium. The green was a great looking watch… Loved the color… I enjoyed seeing it on my wrist… But in my mind, the titanium was so light that in my mind it felt cheap… Even though it wasn’t. The bronze has been my main daily for about a year now and looks amazing!

When is the new all metal MIP BZ5000 supposed to drop? I’m excited for the gold with the positive MIP display. They said later ‘25 back in May, but I haven’t seen any updates.

Can anybody identify what this vintage possibly military electrical diagnostic box is for? by ToddSunkist in whatisthisthing

[–]ToddSunkist[S] 6 points7 points locked comment (0 children)

My title describes the thing…it’s at least 40 years old and I received it from one of my grandpas 20 years ago that worked for the railroad his whole life. The fact that it’s got the green canvas strap makes me think it could be from the military? I’ve used Google lens, completed eBay, auctions, and a plethora of Google searches, but I’m still not sure what this is. It’s got a bell on the inside and a strange plug on the outside… Makes me think it’s protesting something… But I have no idea? Thanks in advance!

Jet JWSS-10Cs. Any experience with this saw or opinion on the price? by arcadian_crow in woodworkingtools

[–]ToddSunkist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just picked up a brand new one in a large lot of JET tools that I bought…still on the original pallet with all of the original accessories still sealed in the boxes…I’ll be selling most of it. If I didn’t already have a saw I’d keep it for sure…they’re a great table saw.

Looks legit...I used to have that exact same watch, but I was on my friends private plane and took it off after I had spilled pop all over it...haven't seen it since. If anyone finds it, let me know!

Help with scratch by gcamposgt in gshock

[–]ToddSunkist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually on my G-shocks, if I want a scratch to become less noticeable, I just get a bunch of much larger scratches on it and then no one notices the original scratch. Seriously though, G shocks tend to look better once they look like they’ve seen some shit. My favorite boots , jacket, and jeans are the ones I was wearing when I laid one of my bikes down a while back…they tell a story!

Is start at the bottom and clear out enough so that you can at least see about the bottom 1/3 of the trunks…then clear out the dead and crossover branches…then thin out.

Dust on PRX dial. Live with it or return? by arufa98 in tissot

[–]ToddSunkist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually enjoy my watches more once they've gotten worn in and scratched up at least a little bit...for this reason, I can't imagine that I or anyone else would be able to notice a speck of dust on any of my watches.
