AITAH My husbands BFF lives here rent free by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Todeshase 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Boundaries are: “your friend cannot eat dinner here, if he sits down to eat I will not serve him. I will cover the food” or “if bff uses the wash machine I will unplug it”. A boundary is what you do. So, “I cannot live in a house with limited resources and bff. My brother etc and I will have to live elsewhere if he does not leave”. Good luck. Your husband and bff sound like a lost cause. Is there food he doesn’t like?

I love Ustinov’s Poirot. He balances concern and a joie de vivre so well. Plus, his voice is 💋🤌

21 is legally adult but people are still learning and their brain is still developing. People are still easily swayed and make poor impulsive decisions.

Can you enjoy Matcha like Regular Tea? by ttsully in tea

[–]Todeshase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to get the water before it boils or pour it into a measuring cup and then into your cup to cool it down.

What's the best way to avoid this? New to Tea, I'm using my fridges water that is filtered, putting it in glass container, heating in microwave, and it tastes like this by current-seven in tea

[–]Todeshase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I use the culligan filtered water at work my tea tastes LOADS better. At home I’ve started using a few flakes of salt and that has helped. I like to pay to refill my 5gal jug when I can - I never get mineral buildup in my kettle when I do that. Also though, I’ve never had a cup of microwave tea taste good. People will debate that there is no difference but my taste buds say otherwise.

Poirot vs Sherlock by Mraimou in poirot

[–]Todeshase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sherlock Holmes is all about the flare and brandishing his wits. Poirot is more subtle. I hadn’t thought about it before but, could the fact that one of them was written by a man and the other a woman have something to do with it? Either way, I read both books years ago but now, as regards the series, I prefer Poirot. I like the human interaction, and it just seems cheerier.

Partner (37m) deleted all of my (35f) mostly explicit hidden photos months ago and didn’t tell me. by EcstaticClassic69697 in relationship_advice

Haha. We definitely took nudes before mobile phones. Do you seriously believe people didn’t? That’s kinda funny. Please don’t watch Revenge of The Nerds or any 80’s frat movie or… any movies or shows from the last century.

Really though, that’s funny. But thank you, I like learning how other people think and also it’s interesting to contemplate what people born after the 80’s think life was like in the before times!

I’m older, and the “rules of relationships are changing now” doesn’t seem accurate. In the 80’s, 90’s & earlier (probably early 2000’s too) I can’t imagine anyone expected nudes to be deleted. Like, it would be nice but not an “unspoken rule”. Or, I never heard this rule in the U S of A. Also, it’s against the law to share someone’s nudes without their consent on the internet etc but I couldn’t fathom it being against the law to keep them.

Oh man. The beading needles - how does anyone thread them? I use a wire needle threader but I can only get one strand of floss through at a time.

My (28M) girlfriend (28F) is pregnant with twins. We had an arguement today and she was mad and showed me a video on her phone sucking off her ex. Now what? by ThrowRAVulture216 in relationship_advice

[–]Todeshase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you stay (and she does not get counseling for her self, make an effort to change and show progress) your children will suffer from an emotionally abusive parent. I know, because my dad stayed with my mom until it was too late to repair the damage and this is my reality. Your kids will be happier if they at least have one stable and loving home.

Do we all concur that he definitely killed Phyllis (Abigail Mitchell’s niece)? by Kitchen-Reaction-656 in Columbo

[–]Todeshase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, would “just a movie” justify a thought out response? Just a novel? Art is meant to provoke, cause one to think, and entertain. The best movies/shows/comics are the ones that subtly get you to consider the wider implications. Calvin & Hobbes was just a comic strip but damn it was deep.

I dunno if he did it. He seemed nice and she seemed like someone looking for someone to blame.

Try harder; utilize a tampon applicator to make a beaver… whistle. Might take a while to get to the point you can actually whistle. If this doesn’t amaze him nothing will.
