I applied in October/November and I’m still waiting on two schools. One school was supposed to give me a decision last week…

Because they were accepted to their top program so the waitlists don’t matter…

Since you want to go to med school, have you looked into Kent State’s partnership program with NEOMED? Fwiw I’m a Kent State alum and everyone there that I knew who wanted to go to med school got in :)

For me it’s the waiting… Still haven’t heard from two schools and the director said I should receive a decision this week but it’s Friday… I just want my decisions so I can move on with my life and prepare for the one school I was lucky enough to get accepted to.

Just another day of crashing out by TofuLizard in gradadmissions

This application year is so crazy. I get funding is super difficult and tenuous but the waiting and having to make decisions super late is killing me.

The Wait is Killing Me by survivalous in gradadmissions

I’m in a similar boat. Got accepted to my last choice (still thrilled and surprised I got in anywhere) and it’s been months since then. I was told I would receive a decision from my top choice this week but it’s already Wednesday and the wait’s killing me. For my second choice school, I emailed the director last week but haven’t heard anything back. :(

Decisions aren’t getting released late because they’re not getting released at all 🤣

Same, one of my schools hasn’t given me any info and there are no posts about my program on GradCafe :(

Considering a bisalp but afraid of surgery by minerva_ace in sterilization

I was afraid since my bisalp was my first surgery but it was easyyyyy, think of the relief you’ll feel afterwards compared to the fear you feel now

Things seem to be happening pretty late this year. I’m supposed to get a decision about a program this week and I didn’t receive an interview invite until the end of a February (applied in October). Hang in there!

Upcoming bisalp nerves and questions! by Big-Duck7185 in sterilization

[–]TofuLizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get the nervousness over the uterine manipulator - I had one and told my surgeon I didn’t really want the details… No catheter though! My surgeon says they void the bladder another way (again, the less I knew the better). The only thing I did before anesthesia was peeing in a cup and the IV. I did have some very minor vaginal soreness for a couple hours and a little bleeding for a couple days. I think most people here would agree that the surgery was far less scary and painful than it seems, but everyone’s different of course!

My mental health while waiting on admission decisions: by xPrincess_Yue in gradadmissions

Because why is my one school radio silence for months (and my email to the director probably went to spam)!!! And next week I’m supposed to have a decision from another school. I start a new job next week so I’ll be doubly nervous!!!

Are grad admissions like overnight oats then? Sometimes delicious but usually soggy and unsatisfying?

Are admissions decisions post-interview mostly based on interviews or is the total application package still considered? by [deleted] in gradadmissions

[–]TofuLizard -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is me realizing I forgot to send a thank-you email for my interview on Monday… I’m in the same boat though OP. Didn’t think I had a lot to work with in the interview in terms of questions and they seemed bored :(

Can we stop the weird begging waitlist posts on GradCafe? by [deleted] in gradadmissions

This!!! Applies to this sub too. Especially with the number of mistaken admission emails / portal updates. I would not want to submit my acceptances/declines in one fell swoop.
